Citalopram + Oxycontin + Benzos

I was recently prescribed Citalopram 20mg daily,ive now been taking it for 4 days and am suffering some mild side effects,although today i began to feel slightly nauseous,i went to work as normal came home took some valium and didnt feel too bad,i then took 80 mg oxycontin orally around 6 hours ago,and the nausea is still appparent albeit mildly,i was wondering would any benzos be helpful in anyway?

I have Diazepam,Lorazepam,Clonazepam,Alprazolam.

Which would be most beneficial and safest if any?

I took citalopram for a while, and being nauseous seems to be a common side effect when starting new medications. Lorazepam (Ativan) is the best one for nausea. However, opiates can intensify nausea so I doubt they'd help it go away. I don't know your opiate tolerance or use history, so, start low with maybe .5-1mg lorazepam, and take it from there. Do you have a benzo tolerance?

Today (day4) was the first day ive experienced any nausea from the citalopram,the other side effects ive been suffering have been general fatigue and feeling slightly weak and achy mostly while ive been at work (i do a physical manual job) and ive noticed when i get home from work i sleep like a baby for hours which is something that ive never done in the past,although i can fall to sleep ok when its time for normal bedtime but i find my sleep to be quite interupted and disturbed although nothing too terrible.

I have quite a high Opiate tolerance (well maybe not compared to most) but i can do 80mg oxy and function quite normally,the reason i took the oxy was because this will be the last time im hoping to ever take any.....heres hoping

As for Benzos ive been using them on and off for around 2 years,Diazepam has always been my all round favourite Benzo closely followed by Alprazolam especially for short haul flights.

Clonazepam and Lorazepam Imo/Ime are my least 2 favourite/useful Benzos even though i know they are renowned for there excellent anti-anxiety effects they have never seemed to have worked well for me.

Anyway i ingested approximately 40mg of Diazepam around 30 minutes ago and feel quite ok.

Lorazepam is like a miracle cure for nausea(for me). It's helped me a few times when I've had the stomach flu.

How much you take is completely dependent on your tolerance.

I had 5mg of this and 8mg Clonazepam for some reason this drug Lorazepam and Clonazepam has no noticeable effect on me what so ever
