"Xanax is not dangerous or addictive! You don't even need a prescription for it! You just go to pharmacy and ask for it! It's like natural you know"
Those were the words of my best friend, who can't sleep if she doesn't take at least 4mg, and that when she doesn't have any bromazepam pills! Just because she finds alprazolam lighter than bromazepam (she doesn't even know the names of the substances), in addition to her having a cousin who works at a hospital and provides her whole family with benzos without even paying for them, it's good, healthy and anyone can take it just like that! For a whole night I was trying to tell her that she's wrong, by analysing the chemistry of both benzos, showing her the regulation of the greek FDA on the CNS meds and practically reading to her whole wiki pages and she still wouldn't believe me or admit she was wrong! I guess ignorance is bliss!
Am I overreacting? I mean seriously! Shouldn't one know what they're taking and its effects (positive and negative ones)? Coz sometimes she calls me a freak and a poser for searching all that stuff and telling her!
edit: She was insisting on the exact same thing about valium too! That it's vitamins or something! I mean, wtf! I didn't even bother talking to her about diazepam
