So for a while now ive been doing methadone once or twice a month. And i normaly take about 3 to get a decent nod. but after the first day it doesnt work. i almost get sick, i know it just racks up in your system and i know it hogs your receptors. SO last night i took 7 morph and this morning parachuted 3 with some yogurt. Its probably going to go away in about an hour, and id like to take some methadone, would that work seeing as in morph hogs your receptors too or will it be completely gone since im not feeling it, im just not sure what the best thing to do and i cant find anything about this. And im not asking for the best way to get high, im for one just curious. Too id like to reduce any harm and 3 i dont wanna just waste some dones and itll probably smooth the comedown. sorry if theres any typos, new laptop. anyways thanks
(:

Methadone is a very long lasting opiate so if you dose right after the high wears off you likely still have a lot in your body and you fill sick because you have taken too much. It doesn't really hog your receptors...at least not like buprenorphine does.

As for you current situation, morphine has a shorter half life than methadone and a few hours after it has worn off most of it is out of your system. Since you aren't really mentioning dosages besides number of pills which can be of any mass (strength), I'm hesitant to comment on whether it is safe to take methadone right after the morphine. I can definitely recommend though that if you want to get the most out of it and stay as safe as possible, wait for several hours after the morphine has worn off.

These kind of self serving "how do I get fucked up" threads are not Other Drugs material. Please refer to the BLUA and the Other Drugs Guidelines/Posting Standards, located in my signature.

Amapola covered it quite well. But since you decided to disregard any advice you were given in the first place and just went ahead and took the methadone, there is nothing left to be discussed. In nthe future it is important to wait to take the pills until AFTER you get the proper answers you needed. But I have a feeling you were going to take them regardless of what people told you. You just wanted someone else to tell you it is okay so you have a reason to go thru with it.

Moral of the story: FIRST do the research. THEN take your substance AFTER gathering any/all important information.

Since this is not OD material and has been answered, I am going to close this. You could have found your answer within seconds if you used the search engine, and perused the Methadone Mega thread.

If you have any more questions that you cannot find by searching, feel free to PM myself or any other OD moderator. Also don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions on the rules.

Thank you

^ BdP makes some great points but we can try this in BDD for some more advice.

I'm not sure where you got the notion that methadone or morphine 'hog' your receptors. They are both full agonists so taken alone or in combination with other agonists, will have a cumulative effect. Its not like if you take a dose or morphine then later methadone that the selfish morphine won't let the methadone attach - they'll both agonize the mu receptors resulting in INCREASED effects.
