Piracetam upsets my stomach

I've been taking Piracetam to pre-load but the damn thing upsets my stomach!!!! Anything I can do about this? I've read that normally it is very well tolerated...and I was really relying on it because I've "lost the magic," have to take 5 pills to accomplish what formerly 2 would do, etc. Help?

I take it in powder, I don't know what you can do to help the stomach except maybe capsule it. That will slow down the release slightly. Time release would be best but not really possible at home.

I've been mixing it in water and taking it like a shot, which is really nasty. Right after I get aches in my fillings and slight headaches that travel and dissipate right away. I hear that choline helps with the headaches because it speeds absorption, I haven't received mine yet though.

If you're getting nausea, maybe pepto beforehand? Or take it with whole milk to try and coat the stomach and slow absorption.

I've searched and haven't found anywhere that it causes tooth aches, it really only happens when I don't let it completely dissolve so maybe crunching the tiny crystals is doing it? I haven't felt any crunch and I do my best to wash the stuff down because it is so nasty.

I can't speak for piracetam, since I don't take supplements to help my roll, but if you need to take 5 pills to feel what you want to feel off of two then you either are abusing really badly, or you are getting low mdxx pills. How often do you roll? You shouldn't be taking MDMA so frequently to even need piracetam honestly. None of my friends even take that stuff, I hear its great though.

Piracetam is believed to work by increasing the permeability of cell membranes.
While this effect focuses on the brain, the intestines are considered to be a 'second brain'.
I have taken Piracetam for MDMA recovery, and it always has the MOST peculiar effect upon my intestines for the first day or two. I only take 100mg per day, a tiny dose.

Does the effect continue past your stomach?
How much are you taking?

Piracetam is well-tolerated, even among the elderly, so it shouldn't hurt you.
However, I recommend taking a large dose (3000mg) 4 hours before you roll.
This should improve the effects it has on the roll - it needs time to take effect upon the brain.
This should also separate your stomach upset from your MDMA consumption.

Hope that helped...

its time for a tolerance break, taking 5 to accomplish what two did is not a loss of magic, its a huge tolerance if your pill quality has stayed the same

Saturation is actually the key to using piracetam imE. 3+ grams a day is good but a 3 gram dose usally induces a headache or nausea for me if i havnt started with 800 mgs and work my way up. Taking 1600-2000 mgs attack dose had 1/100 if
Of the potenation effects as the saturation regimen i use. Ive tried it all with piracetam the last year. To each there own i guess. I dont suggest anyone whos getting an upset stomach from 1-2 capsules to take 4.

Hmmm...

I find that during the recovery process, I use TINY doses of Piracetam and it makes a VAST difference after only a day and a half.
By tiny, I mean 100mg a day, maybe 150.
However, it doesn't seem to make a big difference right away.

It takes several partial doses, over that time period, to really take effect.
It seems to me that it has to 'saturate' the intestinal tract over time.
It has always had a VERY peculiar effect upon my intestines during the first few days.
When I take a higher dose, like 800mg, it takes effect quicker...but there is still a 'build up'.
I find that really small doses are JUST as effective when taken regularly.
In fact, the higher doses cause me to wear out faster.
By sticking to the small regimen and taking choline/fish oil I can take it for a MUCH longer period of time.

Normally about a month. Then it has to go away - it becomes too stimulating.
After a month or so, I usually start it back up again.
But at the 7 month point in recovery, I find it unnecessary.

If I EVER roll again, I plan to use the Piracetam.
I am glad to hear another Mod's opinion on the best regimen.

However, I am concerned about the wide-spread use of Piracetam for the sake of MDMA.
If you need it to 'roll' anymore, that is a sign of neuro-degeneration, is it not?

Socal,
Is there a big difference if you don't take it, or do you use the Piracetam every time now?

piracetam should not be used as a way to avoid tolerance, you cant use it to roll hard every week. but for someone who is rolling every 8-10 weeks and still not achieving what they want to anymore yes its good.
i actually dont use it everytime i roll, its hard to get so when i got it i load it but when i dont got it i just go without. it makes a big differance me, makes my eyes wobble harder, keeps my head clearer imo, it makes the roll very floory, and i find it helps keep my head clear, like i could tackle any senario that may arise if i had too. i usally take my mdma at raves or big clubs so getting all lost in my thoughts, paranoia bug me but piracetam reduces those for me.

Piracetam is remarkably bitter, but so are other medications.
It dissolves in saliva MUCH faster than other bitter meds, IMO.

Chase it with something quickly, and you won't even care...

If someone wants to take MDMA, they're gonna take MDMA. Throwing piracetam in the mix serves but one purpose - protecting your brain. I don't really think piracetam is going to be encouraging MDMA abuse if that's what you're saying. I have abused MDMA and when I ran out of piracetam I kept on abusing....the hangovers were just much, much worse.

@ OP

You could perhaps try a dash of black pepper in the mix. Black pepper makes the stomach produce more HCL so perhaps that would make it digest your piracetam easier. I really have no idea lol.

Maybe switch to aniracetam.....so much more fun to take and the dosage required for me was much lower and less frequent. I had to take piracetam like 3 or 4x a day but with Ani you can take it once and be good all day. It has an INCREDIBLE effect on anxiety and visual perception.

I think fbc was suggesting using piracetam to roll more frequently than whats considered 'healthy' is not a good thing.

Thanks, Socal.

I suspect that Piracetam can play a strong roll in harm-reduction, especially if used pre and post.
I agree, most users will roll anyways, Piracetam or not.

But there will always be some that just go WAY too far because they have a new MDMA companion.
If your brain is telling you to take a LONG break, you need to listen to it, not find a way around the problem.

That's all I'm concerned about.

how is piracetam hard to get ahold of? i look it up on the internet and you can buy it there.

and cryptix, what fbc is saying is true. its not really veterans advice, just something you have to live by with everything.
