Hi all,

Not sure if it's been posted here before but for the past 3 years or so whenever I've needed to 'force' sleep after a huge weekend/night I've taken 1 or 2 tablets of 'Phenergan'. It's an OTC anti-hystamine, seems to be safe for occasional use and literally knocks you on your ass, no if's or but's, just sweet sweet sleep. I'm honestly amazed at how well it works. Better than any sleeping pill or combination.

A warning from the wise however, put aside a good 8 hrs if you don't want to wake up drowsy. I obviously take no responsibility for anyone miss-using/overdosing etc etc and hope this helps some tweakers begging for sleep (I know it's about to help me :D) Hope it helps!

Phenergan is a common brand name for the antihistamine promethazine. It is well-known that it is an extremely effective sleep aid (it actually has mild antipsychotic properties).

ugh, hate that shit, makes me feel heaps worse than seroquil, and i feel shit for the next few days, not just one... mind you, the gf has heaps of both... she's a phycho :P

^ Maybe because of the relatively long half-life it has. Doxylamine and diphenhydramine are both OTC and have somewhat shorter half-lives and are also specifically labelled for sleep.

I used to luuurve being scattered, prob what separates a meth junkie from the rest, loving every part of the experience, scatterdness and all. I'd never take anything to sleep when I was coming down because I just loved the feeling. Anyway I take travacalm far too often with opies for it to work for sleeping anymore, haha. Headdah's got it with the seroquel, nothing like that to stop a long night of staring at the ceiling and playing the 'abc' game in your head all night :D

Buds are nice if u ever have problems falling asleep, other than that benzos do the trick as well as seroquel.

Seropuel is perscription and hard too get ... i'll give this stuff a go as I like to go mental Friday night and sleep Saturday day time so i'm charged again for Saturday night. Will report back with how good this OTC product works for sleep.

I have loads of Benzos on hand but I use them for anxiety ... not sleeping to keep tolerance low.

Haha phenergan is lethal. In my shard smoking days (more like daze) a friend recommended I try it to fall asleep... It worked, but I woke up the next day, maybe 9 hours later and I had school, and hadn't slept it off yet and literally walked into my door and smashed my nose :S It was pretty scary. (also funny now i look back). It does work though and its OTC (bonus) lol :D

If I were to the point of needing Phenergan from shards I would be long past the point of being able to go into a chemist to get Phenergan ;)

Think I'll have to look into this, I'm running out of Seroquel and have no way to get more, and I really a tranquilizer :p

seroquel is piss easy to get.
i didn't even ask or want any but the Dr gave me 5 repeats.
they dont seem to mind dishing out anti-psychotics at all.
i felt they helped alot cause of how it effects dopamine.

I'm not really keen on asking for it, so yeah. Not so easy :)

Exactly! ... above poster is dick sizing ... it's an insanley strong anti-psychotic. My friend got perscribed it only when he slashed his wrists and tried to bleed to death in his car. :(

... Because he actualy was psychotic and on the brink of death and completely suicidal. :|

Not something you can just get ...

lol relax mate, i said i didn't ask for it...
some anti psychotics at lower doses are used off label for insomnia, its not 'addictive' so the Dr is much more likely to prescribe it over strong benzos.
it is something you can just get.

edit - its powerful if you are munching 600mg a day when used to treat schizophrenia and what not, but at 25-50mg it will get you sleeping.
if you did some reading its mainly due to the anti-histamine effects present at lower doses.
