Heroin Burning // painful Sensation when iv'd

I have encountered this problem many times before.. either when iving powder or *pure*tar but this usually happens with tar.. i don't know if its the cut being used because other people using the same stuff has not had this problem.. I was recently in Mexico and there wasn't any problems with this occurring.. i know that is not cotton fever because I have encountered this in the past. basically I feel a sharp pain in the back of the neck / scalp + under the tongue.. sometimes itll hurt other body parts.. at first I thought that the pain was coming on from doing too much at once but I did not have this problem in Mexico ( i could get much higher without experiencing these effects) .. please help me with this.. feel free to PM me and thanks in advance.

almost sounds like your getting a histamine "pins and needles" rush,like the rush brought on by IV Morphine....but I doubt every batch of heroin you get has a high enough morphine content to do this to you,but maybe your sensitive to it or something.

I've never heard of anything like this really...I've had sharp pains in my arm after hitting a nerve,but I pulled the pin out right away.An old junkie once told me this "If it hurts when you IV opiates,your doin something wrong"

thanks for the info but i am definitely not hitting any nerves.. how can i go about changing the PH or can i take any medications // concoctions to prepare me for this?

well it doesn't always hurt.. it only hurts when i use a decent amount.
ie: i could take lets say .1 of the same batch and not feel this sensation but if i take a .5 i will..
thanks for the feedback guys.. it really sucks that i have sourced a product that is comparable in strength to the raw i'd get in Mexico but i cannot do enough of it without getting these pains..
 
maybe u hit a nerve? i too only got it from tar which doesnt make sense. but tar seems much dirtier bc i'd get abcesses and blue/yellow arms from it.

how long does the pain last bc its ironic bc ur injecting a painkiller. so to me as long as the pain was like less than a minute. long enough for the shit to kick in, i didnt care.
 
Assuming your technique is fine, especially since you didn't have this problem in Mexico, it sounds like it is something in the dope. Find a better source and switch roa's for that batch. I wouldn't risk shooting it if you always get that reaction from it.

the pain lasts for a minute or two

i wish i could but i havent been able to source anything nearly as *pure* up here in the SF.. its almost as good as the raw i'd get in Mexico but i cannot do enough to get that orgasmic feeling.. instead i get this pins // needles // burning sensation.. is there anyway i could somehow change the ph? assuming that is the problem..
