So my Mom told me that she was notified by our internet supplier (Rogers) that I had been reading online about drug related topics on Bluelight related to purifying yeyo and the effects of lysergic acid diethyamide. Which I had been doing recently. However, I have recently become suspicious that my mom is somehow watching my site history. I think I recall once when I was quite high her saying "I would be a fool not to watch over what goes on under this roof." She said it snidely and I don't know if she was just trying to intimidate me or if she is secretly observing everything I do online. Also, do you really think the internet supplier would contact her about that? I thought this was a harm reduction website perfectly legal in all aspects. Do you think her story is made up or is the weed making me paranoid again>@@@!!!!!

By the way, I really dislike the idea of my mom coming across a summary of my adventures into pornography. Fuck.......
 
Clear your history, man... The ISP surely didn't contact her.
 
If you use Firefox; goto Tools, scroll down to Options and click it, this will open up a new window.. in that window click on the Privacy tab at the top.. in this section you can set Firefox to 'Use Custom Settings' for the history and within the custom settings, there's a box you can tick that says 'Clear History when Firefox Closes'.. this way whenever you close Firefox.. all history is wiped.

Your ISP wouldn't contact you, she's more then likely checked your history and has made up a story in order to bring the topic into conversation without you suspecting she's been checking up on you.

I'm now sure of the process for Internet Explorer, i havn't used IE in years.
 
Your mother is looking at your browsing history most likely. You live under her roof, its her rules, deal with it or move the fuck out.

I don't know how old your are, but if you're old enough to get a job and live in an apartment, do it. I know someone who did time in prison cuz his mom narced him out to the cops.

I've gone through some rough patches and had to move back in with my parents for short periods of time. I'm very fortunate to have parents that would do something like that. Out of respect for them, I quit using all drugs when I was living under their roof. If anything, doing this motivated me to hurry up and save money to get my own place again.
 
How technically skilled is your Mom?
Routers and modems can have histories.
She could have a tracking program on your computer.

If it isn't router based and there isn't ant tracking programs on your computer 'private browsing' in FF or incognito mode in Chrome is likely the answer. Another option is running a potable app browser from a flash drive. Don't kids these days know how to be sneaky anymore?
 
Bluelight could have come up in the search history when she was searching for something else? She might have clicked on it came across the front page and then decided to check your browsing history. Happened to someone I know except swap mum for wife and bluelight for some fairly sick porn.
 
live cd linux distros... generally have nice features like tor and shit if your mad paranoid.
 
LOL @ Busty St Clare. Sounds like something I'd pull just to mess with the parents.

kaywholed's right, a live cd would do it. because you'd be browsing the web in a completely different os using a disc that won't save any "changes". Unless you boot from usb, then you can save changes. But yeah, you do your internet stuff, restart, boot back into your regular os and nothing was ever saved. Even if you leave the cd in the drive and she finds it.

Also, firefox has a "private browsing" option. You look at all the 'risque' sites and when you close the browser it's supposed to erase all the history and whatnot.
Tools > Start Private Browsing or ctrl+shift+p

Still though, if you're old enough to leave and can work, I definitely recommend getting your own place. Much more privacy altogether.
 
First: Your mom is prob reading your history

Second: If she is smart enough you may have key logger installed on your computer by your folks; they sell these programs for people to montior what there kids are doing or husbands or whoever on the machine.

Third: Create your own User ID/Password and log in for your computer and give yourself full admin rights, never leave yourself logged in always log out when your not near the pc

Fourth: Always delete your browser history & down some software like spybot to search your computer for any key loggers that might be installed on your pc and delete it.
 
I cant believe a fuckin thread which is basically a kid askin how to delete his browser history is still open. Also, we cant tell you if you mom is watchin you or not. We aint her. how the hell would we know?
 
i think you've gotten as much help from us as you can possibly get. delete your browser history. or stop using the internet.
