I grew up in North Philly, right around its border with NE Philly. I don't live in the city now, and if I'm there it's generally in Center City.

-i was a business admin major (marketing)
-teachers were hit/miss but im sure it's like that for many other schools, do some light research before picking teachers (ratemyprofessor.com etc..) but take it with a grain of salt, people have their opinions but a lot of the reviews hold value.
-loved the 24 hour tech center
-lots of cool people and lots of diversity
-wasn't involved with extra curricular activities nor did i hit up many frat parties so can't really speak on that, even though it's not my type of party anyway (don't like the vibe of alcohol in general)
-stay street smart if you're wandering a bit off campus during the day and not to scare you or anything, but if you're hitting up frat parties , they usually happen at night (duhh). Be very very very alert or safety conscious (stick with numbers etc). I don't want to scare you with any stories but it IS north philly.

-overall i really liked it, but i didn't make the most of it.

we have much in common. i am an english major-much older than you,who needs to finish her BA so i can at least get my MA in psych...hopefully all the way to my PhD. one of my ex gf's is a criminal attorney here and i helped her back when she was taking her LSATs and getting ready for law school.

just post a msg here if you have questions. it will be easier this way and a lil more private for your comfort.i am mad multitasking but i'll throw you some ways to boost your post count in a positive and educational way.
p.s...i do not capitalize or spell properly...that's just me.lol

ah, that's awesome. i was seriously considering getting/going for psych all the way down to PhD, but i think (in my limited amount of knowledge of the world, haha) i'll be better suited for the law field.

so, where are you from? what do you do for fun (besides the obvious reasons we're on bluelight ;) )

I live in the southeast,USA-unfortunately. check out my profile...that pretty much sums me up-oh,and i love talking shit in socials and chat and such.

going to Bonnaroo next wed...it's in Tennessee. this is the 10 yr anniv and my 6th year.
i love going to shows,meeting new ppl,helping others and dorky shit like reading the dictionary randomly and marking or highlighting all the words i have read.
i love to laugh,live life to the fullest and love as much as my heart will allow.
 
i went to bonnaroo '07-'08! unfortunately funds (and school) haven't allowed it since then. i really wish i could have gone to the 10th year anniversary

hope you have fun, kinda hard not to there tho!

and talking shit is A+, but i'm way too green to even attempt haha
 
what places in Bluelight have you found interesting yet????

any place or thing you can't find. keep me posted.
