Taking hydrocodone as prescribed after wisdom teeth

lets just say i had no tolerance to opiates at all.

If i took the 10mg tablets every 2 hours as recommended until they were finished. How much would that increase my tolerance?

I was given 25 10mg norcos.

I know this may be hard to answer but I would really just like an estimate plz.
 
Your lucky that you got 10mg tablets (especially Norco), I only got 7.5mg Vicoprofen. As for your question, your tolerance will raise pretty quick if you are redosing every "2" hours. I've never heard of a doctor prescribing Hydrocodone less than every 4 hours. I'd recommend you do that, not every 2 hours. Redosing is pretty ineffective when you take your doses too soon. Give yourself some time until the effects of the first dose wears off. But yeah, your tolerance will increase but I don't know by how much, nobody can tell that. All I know is that you're tolerance will increase quicker by taking them every 2 hours than it will every 4-6 hours.

it says on the bottle redose every 2-6 hours. i got my wisdom teeth out like 2 weeks ago and have all this left over since i didnt use any

Im not planning on doing this but i was just curious how much my tolerance would go up because im thinking of going like 10 days straight getting high off them once per day.
 
then after doing that for 10 days straight i wont do anymore for a long time

i feel like it cant be that bad since people take this much opiates at a time whenever they get their wisdom teeth out. or am i totally off?

from your user name, i'm assuming you've had previous opiate experience??

if so, then hydrocodone won't do shit to get you high. i saved up a stash once (mom was dispensing them to me at the time), and also had some tussionex (liquid hydrocodone that smells like sunscreen) and dosed a pretty high amount, and I didn't feel high at all. however i was used to getting high off oxycodone, so if you're opiate naive you may feel a buzz, but for me hydros don't do much euphoria-wise.

however, the hydros will take away your pain. also don't expect a huge increase in tolerance. i took hydros every day for a week, and they definitely helped take the edge off for the pain. you'll be glad when you still have some pills if your case was anything as complicated and painful as mine.
 
ok thats what i wanted to hear. not a huge increase in tolerance.

I figured that since people wouldnt be prescribed all those pills in that short period of time if they would build such a huge tolerance so quick
 
He hasn't actually done Methadone, I remember him saying that.

And as for doing it 10 days straight, your tolerance will rise very quickly. Probably after the first 7 or so days of taking it you'll need to increase your dose to 15mg if your looking to get "high". People who suffer from pain don't become tolerant so quickly because they aren't looking to get fucked up. You don't become tolerant to the pain killing effects as quick as you would with chasing a high.

yeah thats correct.

but i do have a decent tolerance but Im just assuming i have none for this to be easier.

you got yourself a nice script...when i got my wisdom teeth out i got 10mg/725mg apap pills...like wtf? 725 mg apap? anyways, i wouldn't take them every day. i was able to get high off 15-25mg hydros and percs for 4-6 months taking them 1-2times a week, and then that became ineffective and i moved onto roxi. back then i was extremely conscious about my tolerance and i was able to get what i wanted off the dose i wanted, but now its not like that anymore and i don't even bother with hydrocodone/apap pills anymore. im really stoned and its hard to articulate what i want to say lmfao but what im trying to say is just take your shit slow. you have your whole life to fuck around with drugs and tolerance rises exponentially. once your in, it's hard to get out
 
damn 725 mg apap? mines 325apap. Just took 20mg and i didnt feel anything at all.

I didnt know my tolerance was this high to feel NOTHING. i will wait a little bit to try 30mg.

well ive been taking oxycodone recently and havent had any hydrocodone in awhile.

I'll take like 20-30mg oxycodone to get high

so I should have probably knew i wouldnt feel much but i still expected SOMETHING. Like i honestly felt nothing at all except my thighs are starting to get real itchy.

if your used to 30 mgs oxy yeah you need more hydro. you'll probably need another four to get feeling good. if that don't work wait n try again tomorrow as that dose is right under 2000mgs apap. - the six pills total that is.

If you were taking 20-30mg of oxycodone you probably would need 30-40mg to feel "high". 20mg of hydrocodone just won't cut it. If you redose I don't believe you will feel high but you can always try. Redosing isn't so effective, usually you won't feel any better than how you felt from your original dose and it your case you didn't feel high at all. I consider it a waste but if you are dead set on doing it then go for it. There is always the possibility. If you plan on taking another dose please update us on how you feel.

i took the hydrocodone like 3 hours ago so i cant redose anymore anyway. I always try to go as low as possible so i dont waste any. But now look I just wasted 20mg :X

Well you've been messing around with oxycodone, significantly more powerful than hydrocodone so your going to need more than just 20 or 25mg, especially if you were taking 30mg of oxycodone. Your going to need anything in the 30-45mg range. You need to know that your going to need x1.5 more hydrocodone than oxycodone. Realize that 30mg oxycodone is equivalent to 45mg hydrocodone. That is why you felt nothing. I think that 35mg should be relatively efficient. Good luck with anything lower.
 
yeah hydrocodone isnt that strong honestly.

I got prescribed 10mg oxycodone(oxycontin)/325apap (tylenol) {which is called a percocet} when i fell off my motorcycle and those kicked my ass.

I was pretty experience with hydrocodone but 10 mg of oxy blew it out of the water.
