Hello BL!

I took a half tab of very strong acid at a certain festival last weekend around 9pm. I started to feel little fun effects about an hour after taking it. I was convinced i was going to be the sitter pretty much, as one person took a full tab, the other 3 took a half tab plus .2 of really good Molly.

i felt barely anything besides little giggle fits and wanting to dance a bit until about +2 hours, where the back of my knees started to feel light. I actually went on a water run by myself because i felt like i was the only one who could handle being alone for more than 40 seconds. My trip started to come in a little more, (words would buzz at me, i could see patterns in the air, i noticed a few odd things occuring like curiosity as to why everyone was sitting around this water fountain that was turned off basically staring at blank concrete 1 foot away)

anyway, i got back and started dancing more and as i drank my beer, (i had a two tall boys at the event and was kinda buzzed before hand) i felt like i was going to pass out hardcore. I continued to struggle, experiencing this anxious feeling for the rest of the night.

I started to freak out quite a bit so i took about 1.5mg of lorazepam but still was tripping.

Is this a common feeling before the peak of LSD? The passout/anxiety stage? I feel like i might have ruined my peak by taking the benzo, but i really felt like i wasnt going to make it out of the concert without passing out and freaking out all my friends.

just curious, only my second time taking the drug and the first time i took it i candy flipped.

You gotta be real careful mixing alcohol with psychedelics/MDMA, and especially when combining the two. I'm pretty sure shrooms & LSD mess with your blood pressure. I passed out once from a mushroom + sake + nicotine combination. I woke up to an ego death, it was damn intense. Staring at my carpet feeling like it was just an eternal black void of nothing.

Anyway, just be careful drinking much when you're not very sure how a chemical is going to affect you.

Could also be related to low blood sugar... alcohol is rapdly metabolized as a sugar, raising blood sugar... and without a major meal as a buffer, you can then get a insulin pluse that lowers the blood sugar too fast if you are running around moving & dancing expending lots of energy and gobbling uo all your blood sugar etc. Especially if your system is unhinged by a psychedelic which can all cause major body functions to go a bit randomly haywire.

I don't think the feeling was a result of the alcohol/LSD mix because I've done high doses of acid after drinking almost to blackout stage (many, many times. There was a period of about 10 trips where I always dosed after about 12+ beers.) and nothing bad ever resulted from it. But the "passing out" feeling is weird because whenever I take LSD (even with tons of alcohol) I have been over-stimulated and wide awake for at least 10 hours.

Are you sure you took LSD?

I'm guessing the passing out feeling was from the Benzo and booze or maybe you were just very tired and anxious?

Something similar sometimes happens to me when I'm trippin. I think it's just in my head cause usually I just try to distract myself and the feeling goes away in a few minutes. Probably just a little burst of anxiety magnified by the LSD.

thank you all for your replies. it solves a few questions for me. I think the largest contributions were not eating and i also smoked a cig for the first time in months which right after i smoked it the feeling started. I actually think it was a part of my trip, a lesson, each thing that is bad for me i injested (booze, tobacco) made me feel worse. It felt toxic.

Also, i think the anxiety had a lot to do with it. Before the feeling, i hadnt taken any benzos yet.

It was definitely Acid, as it was a half of a strong tab i had taken back in march at a big music fest in Miami. The set and setting was WAYYYYYYY better and i hadn't had much to drink that day, plus had just eaten a huge meal about an hour before i took it the first time.

that would be absolutely insane. ive never had an ego death. My girlfriend had a (near) Ego death at the show even though she didn't believe it. She kept saying "Im an alien, did you know that? It feels weird to be walking around all these people, they're so different" and "sometimes i have to remind myself my name is ____ ______"

it was awesome, i want that.

definitely tired and i had some anxiety for sure. I had driven about 6 hours prior, drank for a few, had no dinner, and this was the day after a hardcore wedding experience and AM hangover (open bar yeeee).

I think i just was out of energy, but since i was on LSD i couldnt fall asleep until like 6am of course
