Yeah, will just try and be a good housemate, I offered her the use of my cooking stuff, not that I have much of it, and my plates and stuff, told her where the shops and stuff were. There is no central living area so the only time we would see each other is in the kitchen anyway.
 
Its a weird one with flatmates and living with people in general. Sometimes u get lucky and they are cool and sometimes if you have someone who is difficult it can be a nightmare. I have lived with all sorts and I am glad now I have my own place , I love it.
 
I'm pretty sure she won't be a nightmare, she seemed appreciative that I said she could use my stuff and asked me some questions about myself and how long I'd lived here, and we had a mini chat. I'm more worried about myself coming across as a nightmare, lol.
 
just started having it being just me and my boyf. i do really like it but not the vastly reduced income associated with it.

have lived with 3 strangers in the past 2 years. one was a socialised psychopath (it was actually quite obvious even before we did the contracts but i was blinkered), one was lovely, and one was the guy i was alluding to above. the most one dimensional, selfish and plain weird person i've ever met, after the socialised psychopath.

sounds like its going ok so far mugz. also at least you have a job which is a plus in many peoples eyes and means you definitely get time away from each other.
 
Must be really strange sharing a flat or house with a stranger, just been thinking about it. Must be really awkward when they first move in.
 
it is. though it can be good. basically you need both people to actually understand the situation and therefore make an effort to get to know each other. having some random person in your house who you couldn't tell one anecdote about is weird.

just found 5 strips of temaz. i can't work out how at all. at the rate i've been munching them and the number i've bought, i have no idea how i could have that much. tis good though, my bank balance is still looking dismal despite getting paid today! was hoping an expenses claim had gone through too but no.....
 
Not sure whether or not I should try and talk to my flatmate a bit more, is her 2nd day at her job and she hasn't been in England for very long so it might be nice to have a friendly flatmate, but don't want to come across as weird or too friendly as we have to live with each other for 2 months.

Fuck sake your well over thinking it, she's just a human being like everyone else. No better or worse than you, me or even that SamhainGrim character. ;) She'll probably appreciate you talking to her if she's new to the country and has no friends here, perfect excuse for you to start learning Spanish too, ask her to teach you some. :)

And then ride her and get her to talk dirty in Espanol. ;)

Had a pretty easy and quick day at work today until 2 minutes to 6 when I'm due to leave and suddenly get the angriest customer in the world on the phone, shouting and swearing and going on and fucking on, telling me to push some non existant magic button to make his broadband go on as if I somehow would rather be on the phone and in work for an extra 20mins listening to someone shouting rather than just pressing a button and going home for my tea. Fucking cock! Then I can't get the holidays I wanted off, the one week in September I asked to get off is fully booked. :X

Two of what made us stagger yesterday and one Restoril if you're drinking. Actually, given the xanax, just split the Restoril cap and dab maybe half the powder. For the sake of caution. ;)

Yeah, realised that I overthink everything to be honest, going to try and stop that bad habit.

Might go into the kitchen and put my Rosetta Stone Spanish lessons on a bit later 8) Would be usefull to get some help learning the language from a native.

Not going to try and ride her though, or get ridden/rode? not sure of the word.


On another note. I win this gibberings threads most frequent poster =D Not sure if that is something to be happy or sad about though to be honest. lol.
 
It is really strange living with randoms, but making an effort definitely pays off. I found it really hard when I moved into a house of people who'd already lived there for a year, and probably made things worse by hiding in my room too much so I remained a random stranger invading their space for far too long - we always got on best when I was making an effort to socialise, however awkward it was. Ended up having some good house parties and bbqs :)

Things went downhill unfortunately when one of them stole my rubber duck from the bathroom :| and expected me to pay for all the bills without ever actually attempting to pay me back.. :X

I'm sure your new flatmate will be lovely though, haha! Just get chatting, it'll be loads easier once you are both used to speaking to each other and I bet she'll be pleased especially if she doesn't know many people over here :)

Evening EADD, how are you all?

Came home from work hoping to sit in the garden with a glass of vino and my dinner but the clouds came and the chill came off the sea :| Been glorious all day...until I came home :!

cheers. haha, well yes i am drinking. drinking is def the way forward with etiz, it does seem to build tolerance quicker than other benzos. i haven't rinsed it THAT much and take double what i started off with now if i'm not mixing it with anything else!

twas fun though it was weird at he gig, i had a different marking on my hand to everyone else at the gig- wondering if it was a 'do not under any circumstances serve this person alcohol' mark.... didn't try getting served, the bar was too far from my chair, so didn't get to find out.

evening to you too kate. hope you're having a good one. have made rock buns, getting loaded, and attempting to make stir fry, have to improvise a bit as i forgot half the ingredients when i went shopping.

O M G, the shame of stealing a rubber duck!!! Wonder what they wanted it for anyway?? Probably best not to speculate on that. Sounds like they were not nice anyway trying to make you pay the bills. At least here the bills are inclusive in the rent so no worries there.
 
Yeah that's definitely a good thing. The bills thing was pretty shit, I was the only one who could even vaguely afford them so I paid 'em but never saw a penny. Bit miffed that I paid for the heating and taxing of a 4 bed house for several months, but hey ho. Live and learn :)

I got the rubber duck back in the end, was a LED light up one my sis got me for my birthday so I was pretty upset! They used to keep throwing my washing up bowl out too and taking down my laundry before it was dry. Silly things but not something you want to contend with in a daily basis really..

My own lovely flat ftw :) <3

also lol at OMG, it was a pretty OMG event I can tell you :D
