You might have bought 20mb broadband but what speed are you actually getting? We have 'up to' (which is the key phrase) 8mb and don't even get half a meg and it cuts out all the fucking time. Pish! 8)

I'm half cut, went out for beers at half 4 and turned out it was the yearly beer festival and battle of the bands thing on at a local pub beer garden, fiver in which got you a free drink of your choice, loads of real ale, ciders and wine and a selection of bands + a BBQ. Not bad and even though it's been windy as fuck because it's kind of sheltered it wasn't too bad. Ended up at a karaoke bar then a mates, decided to get the last bus home despite my mate trying to persuade me to stay because every time I decide to forget about the last bus home he decides about 45mins later he's going to bed. Theit's eiother £10 in a taxi, a long and cold walk or a kip om his uncomfy couch.

My mates missus is a fucking nightmare though, at the beer fest today it was apparently too busy for her, too noisy, she didn't like any of the drinks, there was too many people there, too many people queuing for the toilets, her crisps got blown away by the wind, she didn't like the music, she got tired from standing up, she was bored, she wanted to watch Britains Got Talent. FFS, piss off then! The way my mate panders to her every ridicolous complaint drives me mad too. :!

Pretty much getting close to the 20mb actually. Its fixed line and the contention rate is quite low with a good router. Had shite one before but this ones rocks
 
Thought a router was a router and it didn't make much difference, that the main thing was the speed you could get in your area and not what you paid for or what equipment you had. I work for a broadband company and I'm supposed to know this shit but really don't have a clue. :|

From my experience, it sounds like you match their critera.
 
Aye no one seems to have a fucking clue tbh, if turning it off and on again and replugging in the wires doesn't fix their problems I'm all out of solutions.

In my experience its all dependant on the speed of the line and then the contention ratio (ie: how many cunts are using that line you are on) . My router seems good as I dont lose signal very often
 
Morning all, very grey here today. Thought I might as well come to work and have the day off another time when I might more use of it, hopefully I have beaten the jet lag and won't live to regret this decision!
 
Sounds like a bad idea, I'd have taken the day off.

I need to go out and get a haircut and shit, hope I don't trek out to find everything closed.
 
Going to work always kinda seems like a bad idea, sadly essential. If I don't take today off then I get another full 2 weeks holiday at some point so I was happy with that situation.

I'm off for a pint shortly with a particularly cool BLer. It should be a reet laugh, though I'm nervous about coming over like a prick. Which I shouldn't be so nervous about, as it's inevitable. :)
 
Wibs, will you be around on the 8th of June, didn't realise you were gonna be back so soon. Me and 1024 and maybe some others are meeting up around lunch time for a pint or two and something to eat. There is a thread somewhere about it.

Afternoon everyone, lunch time at work again, am getting sick of the place, gotta go back now, oh well, at least I was on time today and finish at 4pm.
 
I'm glad I've got a 4 day week only this week like, makes it a bit more manageable.
 
I'll be at work and you're meeting pretty far away from where I work so I don't really think it'll be possible.
 
Kicking back doing sweet fuck all today! Anyone recommend any TV Series or Movies to watch?
