Opioids confused about opium

for some reason i just dont understand it... i tried to smoke some opium today and it just not doing much to me.. i sort of hits me for a few min then i dont feel anything just a little tired but thats prob coz i been smoking weed all day. I dont realy understand effects of it

I got proper glass ( light-bulb like ) bong or w/e its called and plenty of opium. I been trying to smoke as much as i can but my lighter is getting way to hot and its impossible to smoke a lot of it in one go. I am not really sure how much u can smoke from one ball of opium ? first go tastes quite ok and 2nd but 3d tastes horrible and smells . Maybe i need to put quite a lot of it to get a good effect ? i also dont rly wanna waste it


any one have any ideas ? maybe i am doing something wrong ?

We used tin foil with holes in it in college in our bongs to smoke it or mixed some in with our weed.

I'd be willing to bet you don't have real opium, can you offer a description of the substance? Opium is probably the most faked illict drug on the market. Theres the dragons blood incense and the jasmine smelling black horse poo stuff. I've never seen real opium, and logically so, why ship opium when you can ship heroin which is worth an infinite amount more?

I don't think real opium is very available in California. I've only seen it once and didn't know if THAT was even the real thing.

I'd love to plant some poppies this year and really find out.

Its brown sticky and quite soft .. reminds me of afghan black hash, but not as soft and dark


i just made a bigger ball and smoked all of it... sort of feeling the effect but its nothing amazing

uhh dont know rly.. cant think of anything to compare smells on its own it dont smell bad or anything... but after i been smoking it my glass-bulb bong smell makes me wanna throw up

Well, then it's not the usual fake opium out there, but if it didn't get you high I would not keep smoking it. You will know if you've been smoking opium unless you are already an opiate dependent person and have a tolerance. Obviously without seeing it, we can't tell you if its real, and likely, even if we see could see it we still couldn't tell you. If it isn't real, then whatever it may be, smoking it would be bad. Can't think of any black tar substances that are good to smoke health wise. I vote get rid of it.

no i deffo can feel effect of it.. but its nothing amazing and it wears off quite fast. this is 100% opium i got it from trusted person i know that for sure.. i didn't buy it he just give me some for free so its not like some one was trying to rip me off. And btw this is my frist eva opiate drug i neva taking anything like this before.. only uppers

I have tried "opium" 6 times in my life, and 4 of those times it was fake. Dragons blood incense. It smells a lot like real opium, but has more of a "dryer sheet" smell to it, if that makes sense. Smells better, I guess.

I wouldn't advise smoking it out of a bong, as once it's lit, it stays lit, and you are going to have clouds of smoke pouring out of the bowl unless you are sharing it with 4-5 people and can keep repeatedly hitting it until it goes out (which takes a long time if you have a decent sized ball). I would say smoke it off foil with a large cone, so you can get all the smoke.

But with that said, you must remember that opium is a very crude, raw substance, and you will need to smoke quite a bit of it to get "high." On the occasions I actually had real opium, I shared about about 3 grams amongst 2 other people (we all had fair tolerances), accompanied with weed. It felt good, but it's nothing compared to morphine (which is a refined form of opium).

You will know if it's real opium if it stains your mouth, and it's all you can taste for hours or a day. Also it will stain your bong, and whatever you smoke out of it for a while will taste like opium.

I kinda feel like if you are completely naive to opiates, that you would definitely know you were smoking opium. I looked around, and opium is supposed to be 5% morphine on the low end. I dunno how accurate that is, but I really think an opiate naive user would be laid out flat from smoking raw opium. It may be crude, but its still full of very potent chemicals. I haven't ever smoked real opium though so I can't 100% swear by this. Opium is exceedingly rare though because most people would prefer heroin over opium. Opium for the most part exists to make heroin, and in rare cases, refined narcotics (far more opium is illicitly produced for refinement into heroin than all legal crops for all the other opiates we use round the world). This makes me very curious as I've always wondered if it really existed at all. We can't answer your question because we only have what you have said for evidence. You may, however, be able to teach us a thing or two once you establish the legitimacy/strength of said compound. If it's real perhaps you could tell us how much you had to smoke? I would say you could tell us how it compares but you haven't taken any other opiates. We can only speculate as to if its real our not from here...

This is true, I diddn't catch the best buzz I ever had the first few times I took hydrocodone, the third time it rocked my world. Pot was the same way, didn't get high the first couple of times... got so high I threw up the 3rd time. Third time's a charm ya know!

any way i got a little bit of opium left and i think i am just gonna get rid of it.. i am glad i didnt enjoy it coz i rly dont wanna get hooked up on opiates

I have done opium in Thailand/Burma border area and in Egypt as well. The opium high from properly dried opium is very nice, mellow and produces a drowsy, dreamy eupohria. If it takes more than one or two hits of opium to begin feeling the effects then your opium could still contain a lot of water weight. Opium contains a lot of water weight when harvested, and it is dried and over time the longer it drys and cures ,the lower the water % by weight the opium is ,the stonger the opium is by weight. Many people who may have smoked opium that took a lot to get a buzz, if the opium was real, likely had opium that was not dried and cured long enough so it still had a higher % of water per gram than properly dried opium..it is common sense that the more water weight in the opium, the more hits it takes to feel the effects. I know the opium I smoked had been dried and sun cured and stored in a dry low humidity area for a good amount of time, and I felt the effects after a few minutes off the first hit, and after about 5 or 6 good hits I was very "floaty" and drowsy and in a dreamy like state of mind. And I was not an opiate naive person at all then , I was a heavy opiate pill user for a number of years and a heroin snorter for several years before I smoked the opium,and the heroin was very good SA powder heroin, good to "fire" quality..

DON'T USE A BONG!!!! All of the opiate chems in opium; morphine, codiene, etc... Are VERY water soluble, when tey pass through the water in the bong, those chems will probably be absorbed by the water, reducing the amount of chems inhaled significantly....

it was a glass pipe no water... it had form of a light-bulb


anyway... i smoked quite a bit of it the other day and i couldn't urinate.. it was driving me crazy...... 4 cans of beer 3+ pints of water and i still couldn't pee for like 5-8 hours or so i couldn't pee it was awful

alcohol and weed took several times to not feel sick but first time H i was on another planet, loved it and almost died (OD but didnt need Narcan-just too the furthest limits of not dying on an OD) Also have never ever felt nausea on opiates or ever vomitted.....I'm one of the few...match made in heaven.
