Vicoprofen questions (first time opioids?, ROA?, ibuprofen max dose?)

Hey guys, i have some vicoprofen pills. It has 7.5 mg of hydrocodone, and 200mg of ibuprofen. I would cwe it, but i dont have a supply to experiment with and money is tight. How many of these could I take without getting sick? I have zero tolerance btw. Just looking for an estimate. Also, could i possibly snort it to get to get better effects? Thanks guys.
 
You can't snort it because of all the binders and ibuprofen getting in the way. Since hydrocodone always comes in preparations with other non-narcotic analgesics and it has a good oral bioavailbility like oxycodone snorting it is practically unheard of.

Simple dosing questions belong in BDD so I'm going to move this over there for you. There is a thread in "BDD threads of note" at the top of the forum called "First time dosage info" or something like that which holds the answer to you question. You'll want to keep your ibuprofen dosage below say 1g per day but that shouldn't be a problem being opioid naive.

What's your tolerance like? How much hydrocodone do you take to get a good buzz?

If it's your first time, I would suggest taking 1 and a half of these pills (for a total of 11.25 mg of hydrocodone and 300 mg of ibuprofen). You need not worry about the ibuprofen intake in this case (we can take up to 800 mg of ibuprofen at once).

As to snorting these pills - absolutely not. Just taking them orally would be best.

Ibuprofen is relatively safe in doses up to 1000 mg, and yes, 1000mg is same as 1g. 30 mg of hydrocodone is equivalent to 10 mg of morphine i.m. , which is a good dose for someone with no opiate tolerance... I'd suggest you take 4 or 5 of those pills, with possibly 3 tablets of benadryl(diphenhydramine) to potentiate the opiate. That should get you high, unless you already have an opiate habit.

No, it says in his thread title first time opioids - so he has very little (or no) experience. 4-5 of these pills is too much. 1 and a half is enough for someone who has no tolerance.

Please pay attention to the OP and comment accordingly. Giving such advise can be dangerous and could cause someone to OD, especially if they have no prior experience with opioids.

Please correct your post.
 
I'm sorry if I gave dangerous advice... I usually take only codeine myself, and my usual dose is 120 mg of codeine, which is supposed to be equivalent to 6 mg morphine im. I've usually taken that with 6 beers to potentiate it...

I just got a prescription of hydroxyzine(atarax) which is a sedative antihistamine like diphenhydramine, but I haven't tried potentiating codeine with it yet...

I never said it was my first time, but its been over a year since my last time. I took 5 on tuesday and felt really sick though. And i was stupid when i used to do them alot and just popped them at random, ended up taking like 8 and puking my guts out. I took 4 about an hour ago. Seems like this is a comftorable dosage, i can still work and focus myself, although I've yet to see how the nausea turns out.
 
Also, is there a way to increase its effects? People talk about nodding with this stuff and its really nowhere near that strong for me.

Hydrocodone isn't very strong for most people, I wouldn't expect to "nod" off of it. What doses have you been using?

Also, if "nodding" is what your after, you could try taking 50mg diphenhydramine (aka benedryl) about 30 mins before the hydrocodone to increase the sedative effects.
 
Indeed. Nodding off is something that is usually experienced when more powerful opiates are consumed. For a beginner user, you don't want to be nodding off anyway.

The people who speak of "nodding off" are experienced opiate users. As stirfry mentioned, if you are dead-set on catching the "nod", take 25-50mg of diphenhydramine with your hydrocodone.

What about gufestein or whatever its called? I have a 60/dxm 1200/gufestain pill. Its extended release. You think that would help? I dont have any benedryl around the house sadly enough. :(
 
DXM is not the same thing as Benadryl, they're not even in the same class of drugs.

However, DXM does potentiate the effects of opiates such as hydrocodone. 60mg XR could work, but it could be too much (some people have nausea issues when mixing DXM with an opiate). I would use less DXM (think 20-30mg), or just go pick up some Benadryl....
 
Guaifenesin will do nothing. Some people claim DXM can potentate opioids, but I have no experience with this, so I can't really offer any advice.
 
Hmmm, a quick google search said that guaifenesin would help. Ah well, it still has dxm, plus its extended release so ill probably get like 20 mg at once and the other 40 mg spread out. Id go to the store and get benadryl, but everyone seems to need all the cars at once so I'm stuck at home. Maybe ill be able to go before school. Ah well, thanks for the help guys. This is probably one of the most helpfull forums on the face of the interwebz. You can close this now mods.

I prefer hydroxyzine over diphenhyrdamine as an anti-histamine for potentiating opiates. 50mg will do the trick.
