I started using pillreports about a year or so ago as a reference to make sure what I was getting was decent/as 'advertised', then onto erowid for general information (I like learning) and yeah, this site completes the circle in my opinion, great resource!

probably the most common case for joining up I guess?

That is exactly how I came to be on bluelight! I used to read erowid for years, and then by searching for info on a tab I had I found this site. I was blown away that we could interact with like minded people from around the world. Gotta love it :)
 
Welcome to bluelight... I think I found this thruu PR also.... don't really remeber... I was into and addicted to a lot of stuff back then (2007... I've got a new sn recently) but now I only use in moderation and try to assist people in not making any of the mistakes or blunders that I have =D
