The Power Of Intention

i believe prayer to be one of the most profound tools of human ability. when we pray for something, that image of our desired future is planted.through meditation or other spiritual exercises, we accumulate our energy n send it to our higher self (this being the realm of humanity that deals with superconscious abilities), which in turn uses the food of energy to piece together our future as desired in prayer. the effectiveness depends on the level of true intent, the cooperation of the subconscious, n the persons ability to contact their high-self.


whenever you come across or hear of ppl in need, the greatest thing you can give is intent to heal. i found this to be a very moving experience when i heard about the japanese disaster. the time i spent sending my energy to that entire land caused energy to shoot up my spine n out the top of my head. the experience left me with tears running dwn my face n the love of God literally warmed me inside then out.

please dnt ever forget the power of ones intent
 
i often have to imaging prayers in the ''air'' - as sent 'frequencies' as you mentioned.

and i imagine then often the effort, and any actual effective carrying sent intent and their particular 'space frequency' - the thought then of the %'s of likeness between sent prayers then comes, which most often would probably be money it seems; or wanting out of fears and anxieties; this almost gives me a head-ache.


true intent of volunteering yours is what will clear the air - i believe

most are not deep enough in regards to their true needs. when one prays for money, one doesnt realize that they really should be praying for prosperity. narrow minds brings unnaffective prayers.
 
I'm not so sure intent is any more helpful than desire. Desire tends to send people chasing after things, then goes away and you're still searching. Intent seems like something similar. Why live life via effortful means? These power approaches seem to be less effective than the ones taking life's path into account.

To desire (in the connotation you are using) is like praying with your mouth instead of your heart. Intent transcends the normal desire by adding your ability to combine your desire with the spiritual boost of the prayer method. Intent is only true intent when it doesnt diminish over time or change. you have to desire your future on both conscious n subconscious levels so your superconscious can get the job done. theres nothing wrong with taking life as it comes (in fact, its the proper way to deal with it), but we also have control of our own destiny. so we grab the reigns n steer our lives with prayer. it all depends on how good a driver you are.

Well look, u can't sustain anything 24/7/365. Oh, it's 6PM on month 5 and I went to the toilet and forgot and went to bed, then... come on... not to mention, it better be "I'm achieving the solar system and sun" if it's gonna be that much intent. Sorry, just being realistic... not sure if that's the best thing when it comes to intent =D

sure somethng can be sustained like that.
fears n stigmas can sustain n thrive for your entire existence.
these come from your subconscious obsessing about a certain thing n it will not let go of it until you convince it to.
the mind is just as good as holding onto fears as it does desires


As for the rest of what you said, I have no idea where your getting at with the examples.

I just made it up as I went along... sounded good I guess =D.

P.S. whatevah on the rest of it... if ur looking for a sense of determination and such, sure, but it doesn't seem as promising in terms of actual achievement as I've heard... I think some time would come along where it wouldn't be sustained. There are other approaches that don't need that much maintenance. I dunno... what works for ya ;).

Yeah ill agree that physical action is a more direct n immediate way to do things, but prayer still has its power as a sort of influence, not action.

the main step of prayer is believing
you have to ask, and then completely trust that it will happen, therefore making you believe 100% it will happen.

and usually confidence takes you places, and that attitude of certainty rubs off on people around you giving them a sense of hope.
 
There is a difference between intention and desire. I may have desires for things I dont intend on and I may intend on things i do not desire. Intention is the conscious use of our free will, while desire is a karmic searching for something.

I believe you are right SSSS, the main step of prayer is belief in god or having faith in god. If you have no faith, but merely desires and intentions to fulfill those desires, than you are just as good being alone. If you are praying in this light, for sensual or self gratification, you are using the right means in the wrong way. This is ignorance.
