already doses valium. to late for GFJ?

Had a large dose of diaz tonight 80mg. feeling a little bit calmer. i havnt had valium for about 3 weeks. would it be to late to walk down the shop & get some GFJ to prolong the duration. I gotta go buy some stuff anyway.
took the val about 1/2 hr ago. so would taking GFJ an hr later be to late?

grape fruit juice.
it potenitates valium.
I drunk a litre of it before & through the other .5 litres a way the stuff is disgusting. made me feel sick trying to gag the stuff down. yuck.

Yes, it is too late; in order for grapefruit juice to inhibit the CYP450 enzyme breaks down diazepam, it needs to be consumed 45-60 minutes prior to taking the diazepam.

Sounds like an awful experience! Try simply buying Tagamet (brand name for cimetidine) tablets and taking 400-600mg 45-60 minutes before taking your valium instead of choking down liters of sweetish-sour opaque yellow liquid, lol. Cimetidine does a fantastic job of inhibiting the CYP450 enzyme. Do NOT, however, do this with eighty milligrams of diazepam unless you have a massive benzo tolerance!
I've been on benzos for ten years and would never potentiate more than 35mg of diazepam this way. I say this in the sprit of harm reduction man. Peace!
