Any "I don't care" non-barbiturate drugs?

I know some barbiturates like sodium pentathol make you not care, and are therefore often called truth-telling drugs. But it's not really that you tell the truth, it's that you don't care about anything. I was wondering if any other class of drugs or specific drugs do that besides barbiturates.

Have you ever looked into benzodiazepines? They create the same frame of mind you are looking for, but not the very low therapeutic index.

I did not know benzos did that. I was just looking for a one or two time thing that's less dangerous than a barbiturate(ffs they put animals "to sleep" with that stuff!).
