2C-E Death in Minneapolis

This positively reeks of that story from a while back, where 2C-B-dragonfly was inadvertantly sold in place of the FLY compound.

Not really, considering the people were sniffing doses of 2C-E that were over 100mg. They were playing with fire, even if there are successful trip reports that doesn't make it safe.

This is a more recent incident, may 7th or so. They werent snorting lines the size of small lighters. From what I gather, they did their math correctly with the liquid dosing, 15 ml/ 15mg is what they planned on dosing out and selling it. That was 1 gram of 2ce in a liter of water. There was mention of drinking it undiluted, but no mention of what was left in the 1 liter gram of 2ce. Worst case given 2ce, 1l split evenly between the 8 people is 125 mgs which isnt unheard of but is alot of 2ce.

The problem is, lab tests of what they had show preliminarily that it was actually bromo dragonfly. Assuming they did what they said thay planned, dosing eachother with 15 mgs or so, thats some people taking 15 mgs of bromo dragonfly. 2 people died from it. Had it actually been 2ce, this wouldnt have happened... The only thibg they did wrong was fail to titrate the new batch up from the microgram level, but seeing how common 2ce is, people i know start with 20 first time- stupid I know, but lucky. Unfortunately In this case fatal.

It seems that it is a batch of Bromo-Dragon-Fly which has caused the deaths.

Haupt-RC all over again :(

thanks for the info, was not aware that it could potentially be another bromo-dfly mix up. Even more unfortunate, but it does reiterate the absolute necessity of Extremely low dose test with any substance you receive from an "rc vendor"

Massive overdoses irrespective, it still stinks of haupt RC. A normal dose of 2C-E quite likely would have killed a user had it turned out to be DOB-dragonfly, or at the very least, removed bodyparts.

2-ce

I acidentaly took 28mg of 2-ce thinking it was 2-ci and wow what a dose curve enjoyed 16-20mg of 2-ce but 28mg was a whole nother thing!8o
The doses in this thread are staggering wtf people are just out of their nut!
The old alc. sure does makes you do sum things you wouldn't do sober this is a shame.:(

Well I recently obtained some 2-C-E. Rather than my 1mg test dose I had planned, I will now be taking a 200mcg and then a 500mcg test dose before I even come close to trying a typical 2-C-E dose.

Scary shit.

Please do not confuse the two incidents, check the OP where I mentioned which case should be discussed where. This thread is about the Minneapolis incident, this 2C-E was purchased from a Chinese vendor, not chemicology. It is not yet clear what happened.

Just to completely clarify, the Oklahoma drug was indeed bromo-dragonfly NOT 2C-E, at least according this published story (but as Solipsis says, the it is unlear how certain the identification of the drug in the Minneapolis incident is I guess)

http://www.newson6.com/story/14641463/second-victim-dies-after-taking-designer-drug-in-konawa

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Seminole County authorities said a second person has died after taking the drug first thought to be 2C-E at a home in Konawa last weekend.

Andrew Akerman has been listed in critical condition since taking the drug, but authorities said he died Friday morning.

Investigators said eight people took the powerful hallucinogenic, which has similar effects to ecstasy, at a home in Konawa on May 7.

After chemical analysis of the drug, officials now believe the actual substance was another powerfully-hallucinogenic designer drug know as Bromo-DragonFLY.

Stacy Jewell, 22, died after taking the drug. The other seven were injured. The young adults obtained the drug from Cody Weddle, 20, who, investigators with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said, bought the drug off the Internet. He was arrested on a first-degree murder complaint in Jewell's death, but the D.A.'s office said they are still deciding what charges they plan to file.

I thought I read that preliminary testing did show 2C-E in Minneapolis, it's been two months so I should hope that if it is not 2C-E after all that they would know by now. Perhaps all of the material was consumed, though still they should have run tox screens on the blood of the admitted people.

Time to stock up on y'alls 2c-e/i/x supplies; and be extra watchful for the Man, playing at both as vendors and prospective "users" or customers. The state & federal wheels are already moving on this, I'd wager..... and I'm not a gambling man.

It's sad..... not only have many lives been destroyed, it was a chain of mistakes..... an incident-pit..... that caused the tragedy; negligence, neglect, greed (somewhere along the line), and recklessness..... in conjunction with a mistaken-identity chem that is otherwise very beautiful and useful.

But holy head-grenades Batman........ the thought of railing 50+mg of any 2c analog makes my mind reel and sinuses ache, in horror at the idea..... just the pain would be.... and considering big fat lines like those kids did, I'd probably want[\b] to die just from the pain alone. And if I survived that, the massive attack on the ol' seratonin receptors would prolly do me in.
And that's just considering 2C-E..... that it was bromoDF is horrific.

To put it into some perspective, Tylenol kills something like 500 people a year. Tobacco will kill nearly half a million people this year. In the United States alone, Alcohol will be responsible for more than 35,000 deaths this year. Prescription drug overdoses killing more than 25,000 a year.

The most deadly thing on this earth for people is unclean drinking water. It will be responsible for the deaths of 3.5 million people this year worldwide. The majority of these deaths are those of children. Appreciate that you can turn on your faucet and drink from it, more than a billion people are not so lucky.

2c-e is up to a whopping total of 2 fatalities this year.
Ecstasy, with all of its adulterants kills like 5-10 a year.

If you have a good source and you aren't stupid about eyeballing milligrams, I consider research chemicals to be safer than most other drugs that our governments approve people taking.

So unclean drinking water kills 7 million times as many people this year as 2c-e.

More people will choke to death on their dinner tonight. More will die fishing. Coconut falling the heads of unsuspecting persons napping in the shade.

Not to be morbid, but these deaths are easily avoided.... When they occur, its often due to people doing something that almost justifies a Darwin Award. Death is one of the few things that is certain in the course of our lives. You, me, everyone else on this earth.... Were all going to die.

But no one makes any sort of fuss over alcohol's dangers when a 17 year old half way down a bottle of liquor crashes their car into another and kills 3 people in the process. Well, im sure someone makes a fuss but when a research chemical kills 1 or 2 people the DEA has an emergency schedule in place shortly after to protect us from this lethal and dangerous compound....

Its literally hard to find some act or activity that kills less people than 2c-e per year.
