Hi guys... sorry if this had been posted before, i'm sure it probably has but i did a search, went through faq's, googled and couldn't find anything.
Basically, yesterday i iv'd methadone for the first time and i used a 5ml barrel with a yellow tip and it worked well but it was quite hard to push through and the pressure kept moving the tip and it came out of the vein and i had to re insert it and check for blood with was a bit of a pain. Eventually i got it all in and it was good but i think i could do a 10ml barrel worth easily.
Anyway so i've got my barrel and i've grabbed a butterfly cause i was told it's a lot easier with less movement at the tip end.
So my question is.. once i put the tip in the vein and connect my barrel how do i make sure i don't shoot up air at the beginning. See the thing is once i connect the barrel and jack back then i'm guessing air will get into the barrel and not to mention all the air in the actuall butterfly pipe?
Can someone tell me the proper to use a butterfly...
Thanks,
Buzzo
