Opioids legitimate withdrawal question

OK well ive been off oxy (roxi30s) for 2 days now about to start day 3, and i actually am starting to feel a little bit better(I know its early into withdrawals but i tapered down to 15mg a day for 2 days before stopping and my habit was never too big to begin with, id say an average of 60mg per day) . though yesterday sucked and i only got 2-3 hours of sleep last night, i really feel like im just starting to come back around and want to stop for good. However, today i will have to face a situation. i work for a landscaper and today ill be working 9-4, and i know that i wont be completely up to it. My question is, if i take a quarter (2mg) of a suboxone i aquired from a friend, will this put me back a couple days to where i started? i really dont want to delay this process at all an i just want these next 3 days to go by because i know after that ill feel fine. Any help on this is appreciated and the sooner i get a response the better, thanks BL
 
2mg sublingually should be an OK dosage, I wouldn't assume to have to withdrawal all over again just from a single sublingual dosage of buprenorphine.

You could always try for 0.5mg tops, and see how you fare, as you just need to have "the edge" taken off and not get fucked up off of buprenorphine (not everyone would contend you could feel this way off of it, but if you can, you don't WANT this if you are trying to get off of everything all together).

Have you had any previous buprenorphine experience?

If you're already starting to feel better, I'd bring it with you to work (if this is feasible and safe, don't get into trouble now ;)) and use it ONLY if you start to feel bad and don't feel like you can even do the work on a physical level.

If you don't feel debilitated from the post-usage "drag" so to speak, don't use it, just hold onto it for a rainy day.
 
A lot of people underestimate the strength of bupe - I'd start lower than 2mg like C.H suggested if you need to work. I'm guessing you don't want to be nodding and vomiting while landscaping so you may want to start lower and titrate up if necessary.

Yeah, if you are very sensitive to opiates like I am, 2mg might be too high of a dosage. 2mg sublingual isn't too much for me but I constantly use buprenorphine throughout the day so an additional 2mg sublingual isn't too much for me.

For someone without a tolerance and a high natural sensitivity, nodding + vomiting can definitely ensue.

You can always do more, not less. :)

I would say that 0.5mg is the lowest dosage most people would "start" at if they wanted to test out the effects on themselves without any prior experience, although you can go lower than this.
 
Well OP I believe you asked about taking bupe to feel better so you could work. You totally could. You wouldnt feel wds and it quite possibly might energize you actually. But i think it would make ya feel decent. Bupe sure makes me feel nice when i would be in need.

And youre worried about it gettin you strung out? Naw, just one dose aint gona strung anyone out. As a matter of fact it will help with the detox phase, cause itll take care of you for prolly 2 days. Prolly no symptoms for two days.

And one of yall was sayin how bupe is potent. It truly is potent, did you know that 2mg bupe=80mg morphine? (According to Wikipedia, at least)

Sounds like youre doin good, all things considered. Be strong mayne, this shit aint easy.
 
The dosing of oxy you described should require no bupe at all - you're already through the withdrawals, which are undoubtedly mild in this case. Any use of bupe or anything else will just prolong things.
