OK, this is probably a dumb idea, or someone's already thought of it, or it already exists. But why (as far as I know), isn't there a central resource, like Wikileaks, or Wikipedia, or something like this where all of you advanced chemists can go, share information and research papers into new RC's and other interesting chemicals? It just seems odd that all of you guys are scattered everywhere across the web, when a simple resource like this could help you to collaborate and discuss your findings openly with each other. Of course you never really have to make anything (so nothing illegal needs to occur). You just need to be able to have a central resource for sharing your ideas and for having your work peer-reviewed by other interested participants. Basically, all I'm suggesting is that you should open-source the world of RC's and RC development.

I'm sure someone's going to come along and shoot me down with a gun and tell me that this already exists, or maybe Bluelight is sufficient for this purpose, but I don't think it is. There is too much non-specialist discussion that goes on here to make this all that viable an option for RC development.

The ultimate purpose of this (in my own view) should be safer RC development. I am not an RC user myself (rather I am an ex-RC and ex-drug user in general), but I am still nonetheless something of a subversive. I believe the war on drugs has failed and a collaborative effort of this kind will serve as an acute demonstration of the extent to which it has failed. Rather a new approach is needed, where all drugs are legalised and where investment is put into education, fighting real criminals and in developing safe recreational substances that will satisfy the public demand for these. The goal as ever in this case, would be harm reduction.

Anyway, like I said, if something like this already exists, then ignore this message, but if not, certainly someone should consider at least giving it a go.

A great idea, and 'speech' to go with it :) I thought of something of the like some time ago, but never really got into investigating whether something like this exists or not.

Perhaps getting involved with Erowid would be the way to go, seeing as they already have developed a great platform for spreading dose information, experiences, health concerns etc. for known drugs.

Erowind doesn't really cut it. I'm talking about a much more almost exclusively scientific approach. A potentially new way of doing science even perhaps. Something certainly like Wikipeadia where articles and papers could be published, and anyone with the right knowhow and expertise could come along and review them, and/or correct/contribute to them if they wish.

There are so many bright kids out there with time on their hands. Who knows what they could achieve?

They are all off their heads on RC's ;)

I have to say that erowid seems to be getting behind on things recently... Thank god for bluelight :D

It doesn't have to just stop at RC's. This could be an interesting and alternative way to do science. But RC's are a good start. Besides not all of them are off their heads on RC's some people really are in it just for the science.

But sadly I don't have the time or resources to make something like this happen. Hopefully someone else does.
