Klonopin advice PLEASE

I would advice staying out of alcohol while doing clonazepam. Here the brand name for clonazepam is Rivotril which on the street is called Raivotril which translates into a Ragetril as alcohol mixed with clonazepam here often leads up into beatings stabbings etc.

No it is not, it is more of an anticonvulsant than anything. Clonazepam has ok muscle relaxant properties, great anti-anxiety properties, and poor sedative properties.

It's not the best in any category. Lorazepam is a superior for panic attacks and about equal for general anxiety, lorazepam is also a super anticonvulsant, and a stronger sedative aswell.

Alprazolam (Xanax) is better than clonazepam only for panic attacks, they are about equal for general anxiety (if not, clonazepam might be better in the long run). As sedatives, they are equal and clonazepam is a superior anticonvulsant and it is a superior muscle relaxant.

Diazepam is also all around superior to clonazepam in just about everything. It's a stronger sedative, stronger muscle relaxant, superior for panic attacks, and I'd say probably equal for general anxiety. As for anticonsulant properties, diazepam and clonazepam are about equal in that area. Diazepam is better for acute seizures and clonazepam is better for long term use as an anticonvulsant.

But that's only your opinion. Not everyone reacts the same to different benzodiazepines. If that were true they'd all prescribe one benzo (and these days from my experience with many different doctors its mostly clonazepam and alprazolam). For me clonazepam is a superior anxiolytic to all the other benzos and lorazepam is probably the weakest benzo I've ever taken. Its very subtle and only really good as an anticonvulsant (I was given a shot of it in rehab and it worked well when I was in seizures from alcohol/benzo withdrawal). In high doses it also seems to be a moderately well muscle relaxant. And as I've said before, I don't find it to be an antipanic benzo in anyway, even if there literature pronouncing its efficiency as an antipanic benzodiazepine. It just doesn't work for me. I think clonazepam is a better benzodiazepine for that reason. And there is literature about clonazepam being effective as an antipanic drug with the only drawback being its long onset. Its to be taken at the beginning day, every day, to prevent panic attacks while alprazolam is used right when a panic attack is kicking in. BUT I think alprazolam is much superior for panic attacks compared to clonazepam.

Peoples opinions on benzodiazepines do greatly depend on what benzo they are taking or have taken. I was prescribed clonazepam for most of my years on benzos so I prefer it. Lorazepam I was only prescribed for a few months and didn't like it. Alprazolam I was prescribed for a few years, mostly just to switch off with clonazepam so that it would work better. Yeah, I know they are cross tolerant but the effects of one seem to come back when switching. Diazepam I was prescribed for maybe 8 months, only to taper off of the clonazepam. It is far superior as a muscle relaxant and anticonvulsant. Although I didn't feel much anxiety relief from it. It is a good sedative. One drawback for me is that it accumulates in my body for so long and lasts forever. I'm talking into the following day. High doses WILL knock me out, almost as much as the hypnotics. Seriously. I got my DUI because I fell asleep at the wheel under the influence of diazepam. The entire day I was out of it. So even though it doesn't work well for my anxiety, I still like it.

So with the four major anxiolytics I'd rate as follows:
1. Clonazepam
2. Diazepam
3. Alprazolam
4. Lorazepam

These are just my opinions.

What can I do to make my clonzepam more sedative? I have tried KAVA KAVA extract with small amounts of alcohol and it hasn't worked. I just want my nod back that I got the first time I took them with my Suboxone, which was also the last time. Anything you know of outside of combining it with illegal drugs that would hard to get a hold of that would make taking my clonzepam with suboxone very sedating and/or euphoric.

But aside from my desire to get the sedation I have not yet been able to achieve, the Clonzepam works great for treatment of anxiety. I can think so much clearer, speak my mind clearer, and not like you do when your on amphetamines...I'm losing hope at this point for the ability to be sedated from them with a tolerance to them and Suboxone... Please Help!!!!

You need to take time off for your body to get back to baseline. The thing with benzos is that once you pass a certain point, you'll never feel satisfied. Reset your body to get back to the point where you feel just one like you did the first time, and this time be careful to not take too much. Once you pass a certain level of intoxication with benzos the effects become nearly impossible to enjoy as you are too intoxicated to enjoy the subtle effects. This may sound like it is all opinion, but you'd be surprised how commonly this happens. You pretty much confirmed this by saying that you got the best effects from the small first dose than from the later, much larger doses.

BTW, clonazepam is particularly bad at causing people to dose too high as it is fairly subtle for many. Don't look for too much with benzos beyond a little relaxation... If you try to get too much out of them, you'll likely just end up unsatisfied with the effects you're feeling and losing control over your actions. Don't underestimate the power of benzos!

I'd switch to another benzo as you're throwing yourself down a slippery slope at full speed trying to do this. You've taken 9mg already, 3x the max daily dose, and you've gotten to this point in just two days. This is obviously not sustainable...

Thank you for the advice, obviously it's my Addictve side that wont step until I'm in Euphoric form, which I've found out does not occur with Klonopin. I've tried KAVA KAVA, GABA, Valerian and alcohol with it, along with my suboxone, and I never feel a "high" so to speak.. But I do appreciate the clarity of mind that my Klonopin provide me with..

Klonopin and any other benzodiazepine for that matter don't really get you "high" in my opinion. Temazepam is the only benzodiazepine that can get me "high" but not any of the other benzos. Don't expect to feel euphoric from Klonopin unless you suffer copious amounts of severe anxiety. Its generally these people who will feel euphoric from Klonopin simply because the relief of anxiety feels so good. Feeling "normal" is good enough. People who don't suffer such anxiety don't really feel anything more than muscle & mind relaxation, loss of inhibition & drowsiness. Sedation is possible at high doses, but not for everybody.

LYRICA will bring out the most in Klonopin and will definitely increase sedation and possible euphoria. I was prescribed Klonopin with Lyrica for a decent amount of time and before I became tolerant to the Lyrica, the combination was amazing. No anxiety, sedation, complete relaxation of the muscles, tension relief, euphoria.

How do I get prescribed Lyrica with my Klonopin and Suboxone? What can it be used to treat besides for F.M. I would love to add Lyrica to my medicaation, but don't know in which way I should address it, I'm seeing a new doctor in a week, So I don't know if it's going to be a piece of cake for him to allow me to keep my prescription to Klonopin, but sh should. Why would someone want Lyrica with their kpins and subs??

and I mean that by a medical/mental reason a Dr. would prescribe me Lyrica as well as my two other Meds. THank you so much for all the advice, I take almost all advice to the heart, and very serious, because I dont bullshit other people.. with information and.or experiences with topics that they start forums on..

Well, I was originally prescribed Lyrica for anxiety & insomnia, I was later diagnosed with F.M. based on how I responded to it. I was later given tests. My doctor was the one who brought it up, I had no idea what it even was other then when my friend got back from the hospital with samples.

I have heard from other people who have been given Lyrica for anxiety by psychiatrists so I wasn't the only one. If you suffer from anxiety and haven't been completely treated you could bring it up and inform him that you've heard of others who have responded well to it and curious if he would be willing to try you on it. But remember that not all doctors are aware of its anxiety relieving effects. Mine as well try, doctors love the stuff so you shouldn't be looked upon as if you were crazy.

klonopin is more of a muscle relaxant rather then for anxiety like xanax

Klonopin is for anxiety. Now diazepam is more of a muscle relaxant.. My shrink gives klonopin for anxiety and Xanax for panic attacks. The klonopin takes the excess anxiety away between Xanax doses. Kind of like oxycontin for long acting pain relief and roxicodone for breakthrough pain.

Often times if there are no panic attacks but there is anxiety drs rx klonopin. klonopin is given for anxiety.

OP.... Take a break. Last thing you want right now is a benzo habit. Wds are horrid and can kill you.

tagamet works amazingly weel with klonopin...makes it soo much better ican get reaal fucked up off 2mg by dosing 800mg tagamet 45-1hrs before hand

I know all about benzo addiction, I've been on and off of them for the past 6 years, now, I'm just currently trying to find the best combination of legal supplements to mix with benzo's for the best sedation (for me) without falling asleep and not remembering anything.
Currently: 100 mg of Diphenhydramine, 2400 mg Valerium & 8-12mg clonzepam, (and 8-12 mg suboxone if that applies for you).

Now all I need is a natural stiumulant that will make me look like I'm not on a benzo binge (slowed down movement, slurred speach, slight on and off nod) in front of the people who despsise me taking benzos very much..

Any Ideas?

Snorting kpin is a complete waste, there is much less bioavailability in your nasal cavity than by doing the kpin sublingual. i used to snort it for a while, still had pretty heavy effects. however, after i started eating 8mg or so at a time i felt like i was ruler of the world.
