1 Dead, 7 Injured in Mass Drug Overdose (2C-E)

He was joking dude, looks like we both took the dangling bait :!

No way someone with 1000+ posts is that stupid.

EDIT: moving back on topic...

It will get worked down to a manslaughter charge during pretrial most likely

well that's obviously preferable to first-degree murder but i can't be the only one who still thinks this is fucked?? i'm not familiar with american manslaughter laws but this can't stick, surely?

how is he in any way culpable for what happened, according to any reasonable standard? all he did was sell a product to a willing buyer - what that buyer does with said product after buying bears no relation to him. Kinda like arresting a car salesman after a traffic accident...of course, if the 2c-e was in any way adulterated or misrepresented it would be a different matter.

Then again it wouldn't really surprise me if twelve random members of the public disagreed with me...

They should pick jurors from the summer festival scene to ensure it's a jury of their peers.

LMAO, yes, I am that stupid if you say so..........

By following your logic one would assume you believe cannabis to be as harmful as heroin and crack cocaine just because they're all illegal recreational drugs.

At least you should understand why you're coming across as a troll on BL.

...or perhaps I just got trolled, who knows?

Chalk it up to human stupidity imo - sure the drugs war isn't helping, and education is not just limited but actively frowned upon in some circles, but it's not ultimately at fault here. It's not exactly hard to obtain genuine info about drugs if you have the slightest bit of initiative, as someone who's managed to acquire 2c-e clearly does, but more importantly he has the responsibility. It's not like events like this are gonna stop happening when drugs are legal

...

Just as an aside, I really don't understand why people who decide to be reckless with drugs (which is not necessarily a bad thing in itself imo) would choose a psychedelic, let alone one of the most potent, dose-sensitive & 'difficult' :? ...anyone explain?

I disagree that this is due to "human stupidity" - the war on drugs actively forbids the dissemination of accurate information, and also actively spreads propaganda. It makes it very difficult for many people to know what is accurate, but more importantly, this simple, basic, essential message is not ever taught:
BEFORE YOU USE DRUGS, KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING

This is also the answer to your question of why people would be reckless with a psychedelic. They don't know anything about drugs, and they don't know that they need to do research before using.

(It is not hard to acquire 2c-e. Some guy brings it to a party. He ordered it off the internet. It is much, much harder to acquire accurate information about drugs, at least for some people. )

I tried an RC once in my life & got really sick & vomited, it was supposed to be like ecstasy. I will never try RC's ever again in my life, just plain retarded chemicals & they seem to be more dangerous than the illegal drugs like cocaine & heroin.

I dont wanna hear about taking a smaller dose because I did & it was the worst experience of my life. Ban all of them!

People have already addressed the fallacious reasoning you seem to be using, but I would like to mention one more point:
Just because you didn't like something, you want to make it illegal for me to use it?
That's just selfish and immoral.
Don't ever try to take away my freedom to explore my consciousness, for any reason, including this one. :!

Slim, I hate cocaine more than I do RC's but I never once mentioned to ban cocaine, altho, it is illegal & have friends that do it, I see nothing wrong with others that do it even those I dislike it with a passion. I know of several people locally that have done RC's & have gotten sick. Most RC's are chemicals that have not been time tested & until they are, should be banned & I will stand by this statement!

I see nothing wrong with weed, heroin & so on even tho people overdose & die from heroin every day, the stupidity of heroin is the potency difference every time, that is the reasons people over do it. I seem to piss people off when I inject my opinion RC's. Imo, I think its the most retarded thing people could do because you dont know wtf you're getting in most of this garbage. Its put out there to make money & fuck the people if they get sick or die, anyway, peace in the middle east & to all my bluelight collegues. :D

I was just thinking, 2c-e is a very fluffy powder - 100mgs had to look like a GANG of powder! But these people went ahead and sniffed every bit of it into their gluttonous nostrils...

I don't know how well 2C-E dissolves in water, but supposedly the accused dealer prepared it by diluting a gram in a liter of water and then selling the water at 15$ for 15 milliliters, which was then meant to be diluted in a further 20oz bottle of water. If 2C-E doesn't dilute well in water that could be the source of the problem ... someone took a dose that had a shitload of undiluted 2C-E (you'd think they'd notice?). Seizures were apparently involved.

http://newsok.com/ada-man-arraigned-in-death-of-woman-who-ingested-drug/article/3566415

Also, the girl who died WAS THE GIRL SELLING THE DRUG AT THE PARTY. The accused did the diluting process at her house and then left to go to his house and let her have the vast majority of the drug so she could sell it with her boyfriend at the party. He got arrested at the hospital when shit went wrong at the party (that he wasn't even at) and he visited his friends.

I hope the charge gets downgraded to manslaughter and this kid gets out of jail before he's 30. It really doesn't look like it's his fault.

The story on this keeps changing. One article said they snorted it... The above implies they drank it? effin media...

Wow. So let me get this straight - your line of reasoning seems to be:

A. I tried one so-called "RC" and didn't have a good time
B. This means that this "RC" is dangerous
C. This means that all "RCs" are dangerous
D. Because you had a bad experience with this one "RC", no-one should take any "RCs"
E. Making them illegal would achieve this.

1) (∃x)(b(x) ~ d(x))
2) (p(x)->(∀x)p(x))
3) 1 ^ 2 -> (∀x)d(x)
4) (∀x)d(x) -> b(x)

Looks logical to me :\

What has this world come to if they can put stuff like this on the Internet and not at least be sued to take the darn stuff off?

Norman Regional Health System’s Dr. Matt Bonner said last weekend was the first time emergency room physicians there have treated patients for ingesting 2C-E, also known as phenethylamine.

Wow...Just...wow. In Okla-fuckin-homa of all places, the most conservative place in this goddamn country...where I currently reside. Oh and, also known as phenethylamine????? They could at least get the basic facts right before reporting it :X

The level of ignorance surrounding this whole ordeal is truly sickening. It kind of reminds me of a friend of mine who told me that someone she knew had ened up in the hospital because he was "tripping too hard"...on LSD. Upon inquiring what she meant by "tripping too hard" I found out that he "had no idea where he was, or who he was". I was like, "Yeah, that's kind of the point."=D But all jokes aside, these damn kids need to do some research before they go about ingesting doses of LSD large enough to induce ego dissolution...but then again who am I to judge I am one of those damn kids...but then again I practically knew the entire erowid LSD vault by heart when I was fourteen, sooo I don't exactly fall into the ignorant crowd to which I'm referring.

It makes sense that this happened in the middle of nowhere, these kids probably don't have access to the regular Psyche's like LSD so they googled some shit online. Also. there are a few reports out there of 100+mg oral doses, but I can pretty much guarantee that the people that took the time to write those reports worked their way up to those high doses (or had a tolerance) - and they damn sure didn't insufflate.
I first tried 2c-e about 12 years ago and it has always felt very non-toxic to me, even at 25+mg - it's definitely a gem. I almost can't believe it took so long for people to push the limit with it, IMO.

Yeah where exactly is Konawata anyway? I've lived in Tulsa pretty much my entire life and I'm not even sure that I've heard of it before.

And by the way, I'm not surprised that it happened in OK (I believe the death that got 2c-t7 banned took place in Norman), it's just that this state's ridiculous conservativeness will inevitably lead to a ban of 2C-E (at least here anyway).

But then again, OK banned salvia a few years back and as far as I know not much has happened as far as it being scheduled federally.
