I posted something under the suboxen area as well----------I recently started on this drug- i know a lot about it-however my eyes are pinned and I look high and I am having trouble urinating-is this common? also any suggestions- I am still active in aa/na and have not told anyone i went on this- i had no options, i started a new job and cant take time off to go into rehab- I am afraid to tell my sponsor and anyone because you know people still judge and dont feel like you are sober on it even though i am still active in aa. I am also worried they will notice at work because today was the first day I started the film strips and I felt high and with my eyes pinned I am worried someone is going to notice I am acting different any suggestions to my questions and concerns would be greatly appreciated- I also want to mention I take Klonopin for ptsd which is post traumatic stress syndrome and actually do suffer from terrible panic attacks- I never abused the Klonopin and told the suboxen dr i am on it and he said in high dosages this combo could be deadly- he suggested i get my dosage lowered which I will, is it ok for me to still take it with the suboxen?

suboxone, just like any other opiate/opioid, partial agonist, or not, will cause pinpoint pupils, urinary retention, constipation, all the same exact symptoms HEROIN for example cause, SAME withdrawl, same side effects while under influence..suboxone just wont get you "euphoric" after the first couple times as its a "partial agonist" and its main purpose is to treat narcotic addiction by fillling up alll them receptors in ur brain preventing any opiate to have an effect on you or "buzz", also using suboxone in a timespan after you have used other opiates will cause precipitated withdrawl (a chemical.dada. induced withdrawl) 20x worse then regular WD, that lasts a few hours. Suboxone has two drugs in it (bupenorphine and naloxone) bupenorphine is also used for pain management, but rarely, naloxone, is an antagonist which causes precipitated withdraw, if yo have used opiates,l if injected suboxone your in for some discomfort considering u have opiates in u..precip w/d, main reason they put naloxone is suboxone, to have addict avoid IVing much as possible. welcome to the world of hell if u like suboxone, the physical withdrawl lasts well over a month, due to the very long half life of bupenorphine. It is a super powerful opioid despite its a partial agonist, it is very much more potent than morphine itself, 2mg to even a heroin addict is enough to cause intoxication when used for the first time (my experience), a single 8mg dose of sboxone has been known to cause death. this joke straight up is to help narcotic dependency, or rarely given for pain management, it can be abused, and is popular on the streets , for the main reason of making people feel better and not in withdrawl, not to party and get high with. it only has euphoric effects to low tolerant opiate dependent people or nieve people, then after that all u will get is blockage from catching any type of buzz from opiates, or precip w/d, reduction of cravings. this drug saved my life from heroin addiction, but has made my life misery being dependent on it at the same time. it's addicitve and a controlled substance. "Subutex" is buprenorphine without the naloxone in it, this is the brand given out for pain management, not addicts/ or in hospital detox unit to addicts.

the AA BIG BOOK states, MEDICINE may be a temporary solution for early recovery. all doctors will tell u benzos mixed with suboxone can be deadly, but thats only for the non tolerant person to opiates (suboxone) and benzos..there both downers, its a standard warning, i hate when suboxone doctors warn patients it can cause death, i mix suboxone with my klonopin all the time, and the only thing ill get more of is benzo intoxication if i take alot, suboxone has a ceiling effect , where at 24mgs/32mgs in a day ur body wont metabolize anymore of the drug. its only deadly if you mix the two and ur non tolerant to either benzos or opiates. pinpoint pupils can be obtained from being in the sun too, and yes ur right, when on opiates, but people usually dont catch on if ur buzzed if ur acting your normal self, pinpoint pupils or not. no one will judge at AA or NA, if ur taking it and not RXed,, then dont consider urself having clean time under ur belt,if u havent told ur sponser, ur not too dedicated to recovery just yet. being RXed it is OKAY at early recovery if u wanna be an AA or NA pro/nazi, at some point its expected to abstain from everything

sounds like u were a former opiate addict, and ur tolerance went down, and used suboxone to catch a buzz and got scared of the side effects and didnt realize, yet it is an opiate/opioid itself. or sounds like your recovery is sloping and u fell off the wagon and picked up suboxone as it does "fuck u up" if u never done it. its no diff then any other opiate, classicaly that is.

I would say that it will be okay to take your klonopin with the suboxone, but lower your klonopin dose if you can, just for dependency purposes, and harm reduction. I'm prescribed Suboxone and Klonopin, 16mgs of Suboxone and 3mg's a day of Klonopin, and I also take natural supplements to intensify the semi sedative properties that the combination of these drugs equate. It's frustrating for an addict when at one point you get a buzz of your suboxone, than just one day NO MORE BUZZ at all, which is why I'm going to start tapering down at my next visit, there's no point, I dont care about using other opiates, and the Klonopin has been a huge help in my healthy social and intrapersonal functioning.. And to think I had to give three dirty urines in a row of klonopin in my system before my doctor realized that what I was doing was unhealthy for my neurological system, so prescribing it put me nuerologically on an equilibrium. But like all addicts.. We always want more.. hahah GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OF YOU!!!!!

suboxen and klonopin

Thank you for the feed back as I have been in here everyday waiting- To the person that shared about AA. I did fall off the wagon and I had no choice-or so I feel- I could not go back into rehab because of the new job I do not have time built up yet-so I was getting sick because i was running out of narcotics and missing time at work and got put on a verbal warning so I felt I had to do something to help me and I thought this was the only answer. I know I have to be honest with my support system in AA and my sponsor- I am scared I will lose their support if I tell them. I have taken Klonopin because I suffer from ptsd and do not abuse it- I hate the down feeling. My dr has me scared because he told me these two combinations are deadly mixed together, but I took them last night and felt fine. This suboxen dr isn't very kind and I explained to him that I do attend meetings and want to stay active with the program I felt like he didn't want to hear it. I wish I did not have to turn to suboxen and was strong enough to kick it on my own, but I wasnt and here I am feeling like I am living a lie to everyone. My brother is the only one that knows as he is on methodone and did the suboxen deal but I have to say he is alive and not using heroine, I lost one brother already to a heroine overdose. My brother understands as I can talk to him, but seriously maybe the dosage was too strong for me- I was using pain pills- actually a lot 20 a day- dr has me taking two strips daily 8mg/2mg I felt really out of it and high from it my brother thinks maybe he thought I was doing heroine and that is why he gave me that dosage. Thank you for your help.
