Doctors said 2-year-old Cash Hyde would likely die after they found a stage 4 brain tumor surrounding his optic nerve just a year ago this week.

And he nearly did. After being subjected to seven different chemotherapy drugs, the little boy from Missoula, Montana suffered septic shock, a stroke and pulmonary hemorrhaging.

Cash was so sick he went 40 days without eating. His organs were threatening to shut down. His father, Mike Hyde, intervened, slipping cannabis oil into his son's feeding tube.

In Montana, medical marijuana is legal. Hyde had used it himself to treat his attention deficit disorder. When Cash was diagnosed in May 2010, Mike got him a marijuana card and purchased the drug from his own supplier.

Cash, now 3, made a miraculous recovery at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, but his father's bold action -- taken behind doctors' backs -- has raised serious questions about a parent's role in medical treatment.

I would have done the same thing.. the boy was about to die..

Anyone got any links to studies involving cannabis (or thc) and the prevention / treatment of cancer? I don't mean articles in the media i mean studies.. Thanks ;)
 
^ google it man, there are a LOT of papers proving without a doubt that injecting THC into tumors kills them.

Good for him, and fuck anyone with the balls to criticize this guy, he saved his kids life, the Dr's were gonna kill him

That has to be a typo right, I'm reading that as if montana issued a MMJ card to a 3 year old lol

lol ya i thought the same thing. Hopefully stories like this get more attention. How many lives are going to be lost because of our stupid "elected" officials and their outdated backwards politics. Actually its not that there outdated plenty of medical papers have been shoved down the goverments throat in attempt to bring to light how wrong Marijuana laws are. The only reasonable explanation is that they are either stupid or corrupt. Kinda ironic that the American goverment of all governments is criticizing another (Pakistans ISI with the whole bin landen thing) while they are notoriously known all over the world (and in there own country) for being corrupt and talking out there ass. Obama said the MMJ issue AT LEAST warrants a debate yet his administration is doing the same shit concerning Marijuana laws as everyone before his.

I gave my grandma bud when she had cancer like 4 years ago. I would of done the same thing for my kids too. Not to mention this guy saved himself and his family thousands++++++++ from not having his son do more chemo that obviously wasnt working worth a shit. And i doubt they were giving this kid a lot for the pain since he was 2-3 years old and i bet the hash oil was 75%+ pure so its gotta help with pain and eating and getting some sleep.

I did give google scholar a quick google but only found things about studies into cannabis causing cancer..

I'll have a better look when i get home.

Same here......I hate it when doctors think they are the all mighty gods when it comes to curing/prescribing meds to patients. Western medicine doesnt always work & when it doesnt, its time to take things into your own hands. What the father did was brave & took courage to go beyond the laws we are brainwashed with. If my son was dying & hadnt eaten in so long, I probably would have done the same thing.

You think the father was thinking of the trouble he could get into as he watched his 3 yr old son dying, maybe but I doubt the decision didnt take too long. There is plenty of studies of how THC helps cancer patients.

Yeah, the doctors were doing much better by just letting the kid go 40 days without eating, how dare the parent intervene and give his child the deadly, dangerous, destructive gateway drug MARIHUANA!

Let this be another attestation to the amazing Mindfolds that people wear.

(also: no big company off the medicine that saved the boy's life, which really sucks, and might mean that the whole thing was, overall, a failure, in some people's minds)
 
The dad did the right thing and it probably saved his sons life. The shitty side is that most parents and patients dont know about the healing properties of cannabis; so many people are left to die. When reading this i was praying he wasnt gonna get arrested for this.

I found a big list one time, I should have book marked it. I think I'll start compiling a list when I do stumble on them again.

fuckin google.. that's kinda messed up really =\ like REALLY messed up if the first stuff coming up is along those lines.

awesome =) I watched the video, the lady-doctor didn't wanna admit she recommended MMJ to a child. I assumed that meant she did, but I didn't know they could give a card. Fuck yeah!

I didn't actually read the studies.. they could have found no connection ;)
 
If only the gerson therapy was known by more Americans we would have 75% less cancer patients dying each year. It makes me sick how the so respected and trusted American Cancer Association won't except healthy dieting and exercise a real method to get rid of cancer. These people make me sick. Many people just like this boy every year almost die because hey have been blinded by our governments media control. Watch the documentary The Beautiful Truth it shows how to cure cancer with juicing fruits and coffee enemas. To me that's better than shootig radioactive slime in my body killing me off slowly hoping the cancer dies I'm not blind like the rest of he world please pass the documentary around we could save alot of lives it's on Netflix instant que if anyone has that.
