hello,

i ordered a ez test complete kit from ez test.au, still haven't received a confirmation email, and they haven't charged my credit card, are they still operating?

or they just take awhile to process orders?

I bought one about a year ago, and they took a while to process my order. Can't comment on current operations though.

i ordered off the AU site a long time ago and never received anything but previous time I ordered b4 that it was all fine.

I recently contacted them and they did say they were still operational but i'd be suss on that. prob have a better chance looking for that E1/2 stuff or ordering from the US site, they have the new types of kits, I havn't tried em.

I tried to order last week from ez-test, one of the complete kits. Got an email 2 days later saying they aren't operational ATM and won't be for at least 3-4 weeks :(

I know there's the resource at the top if the page on acquiring test kits but it's way way out of date- time for an update/ new thread??

just while were talking about marquis,

whats the half life like? do you need to store it in a fridge etc?

I just checked the Oz ez test site, I clicked on the 'order form' link and was redirected to the page which said 'due to popular demand we are out of stock, we will be back in stock on 20th May.'

It really dependss, mosture/light affects half-life, depends on starting material. Some have said 6+ yrs some have said 3 months. I dont think u have to put in fridge, but store in cool dark location. stuff is quite toxic, wouldmt want to put in fridge imo

club-x guys, go there and just buy them over the counter...

i didnt read this thread but its my response to anyone with trouble findin them or problems with EZ.

Club-X sell EZ tests over the counter, about 30 each.

yer i can confirm there out of stock, they sent me an email saying there out until may 20th, and that they only have the new style tester now.

bummer

ok got my marquis today, arrived in 3 days, and is as described, cant wait to test it out on some "xtacy like substances" lol

I did aging studies with Marquis; full 10ml bottles were exposed to various temps and light (through use of amber and clear glass bottles), and controls were kept in an opaque container in the fridge from time of manufacture. Refrigeration certainly makes a difference, however, even when methanol was added and the reagents stored in the dark at ~4 deg C, polymerisation and other reactions still occurred. At two years in the fridge, significant discolouration had occurred.

EZ used to package in a single use container during the 90s. These too would discolour upon setting, but perhaps they've found some new trick to keep the reagents fresher for longer.
