I was interested how long it takes for Sertriline to be completely swept out of ones system? I have taken it on and off for about 3 or 4 years now and have not taken it for about 2 weeks or so, is it now safe for me to be taking TRAZADONE? Also I am prescribed to Klonopin, but usually only take it on special occasions in extremely high doses prob around 10 to 12mg cause it is unfortunately the only thing that helps, besides Flexeril or Soma as well as many other benzos. However when taking Traz I DO NOT INTEND Mixing any benzos, Muscle Relaxers or Class Z Pharms! Info and help regarding this subject would be MUCH appreciated! Also is there any recreational use regarding Trazadone? :?

I know Trazadone is supposed to be good at helping you sleep as one of its side effects, although im not aware of any recreational uses as i have never tried.

Im prescribed 100mg per day of Sertraline and i know it has a half-life of 26 hours,so my guess is that after 2 weeks it should be mostly cleared your system. (somebody please correct me if im wrong)

I also think that at 2 weeks the sertraline would be mostly gone - but this is not to say that at 2 weeks you will have mostly returned to normal. SSRI discontinuation syndrome can last for extremely long periods.

Also, why are you making the decision to take trazadone yourself? This sounds dangerous to me. Don't you have a doctor? Ordinarily it would be safe to start an anti-depressant 2 weeks after discontinuing another, but pharmacology is vast and complex and we employ doctors to know the exceptions - which are many! Shrinks especially ought to know this stuff - it is their province. So I think this is not the sort of decision you should be making on your own.
