A North Union Township mother is accused of having her 14-year-old daughter help her in completing a drug exchange.
State police at Uniontown said Christine Lynn Teets, 39, of 193 Main St., Oliver, was charged on Tuesday with solicitation of minors to traffic drugs, criminal conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and corruption of minors.
Teets was arraigned before District Judge Wendy Dennis and released on $25,000 unsecured bond.
According to police, the teen, a student at Laurel Highlands High School, reported to school officials that her mother had made her do a drug transaction at their home.
Police said the teen reported that on April 19, her mother left their home with a friend and went to a local bar. Police said the girl told them that while at the bar, her mother directed her through a text message to go to the kitchen and get pills and take them outside and then give them to a person named "Adrian." She said her mother said "Adrian" would hand her something in return.
The girl told police she did as she was told. She told police she believed that "Adrian" gave her crack cocaine in exchange for the pills.
