Do you guys think I could be doing damage to my stomach by chewing up the new OPs or even sucking on them til they disolve? Ive had a few times where I've been eating and I get sharp stomach aches. Besides that I don't feel sick. I'm not suffering withdrawal symptoms so I am just curious if anyone knows of any evidence or experiences of the new OC pills causing stonach problems because it's my preferred method of use.

There have been ALOT of stomach complaints with this new formula. From what I just heard is that the old formula is coming back out and will be in pharmacies by the end of the week. A friend in ny Told me bc he has his script being held for the old normal oc. So that's just what I have heard from a few people the past couple of days. I didn't look into it myself yet tho. But I hope they are correct! There's just been a lot of problems with them and digesting the wax crap and ppl having blockages in their intestines from the wax building up.

I hope these ppl are right about the old ones coming back!

Imc, I haven't heard of these reports but I really haven't been looking for them either. Sounds a lot like wishful thinking, but that would be the icing on the cake having to withdraw the new OP's because the abuse deterrent mechanism actually has been making people sick.

The old formula is absolutely NOT coming back, period, end of story. There is a SMALL possibility that OxyContin will be reformulated again, but whatever happens, nothing that comes even remotely close to the old formulation will be released.

It's technically possible to get the old formulation OCs still, but this is because some pharmacies have simply not sold out of their old OC supply. The OCs are not being produced anymore and it's very very very VERY VERY VERY rare at this point to find a pharmacy that still has the OCs in stock.

If you wanna get the most out of the new OP's, I recommend cutting them up in small pieces & then dumping them in a empty water bottle & then adding carbonated water, then close the lid tight, shake the bottle a few times every few hours & let them soak in the carbonated water about 10 hours.

Add lemonade or grape juice to help with the taste. Imo, I never get stomach pains & the high is a bit different, more clean & precise & definitely more powerful..

Anyone else feel like the human intestines shouldn't have to ever deal w a pill that seems to be hard plastic that turns into gel glue when wet?

Yeah I've read some personal accounts of people having a really hard time digesting the new formulation. Stories about people taking the same dose of the new formulation and going into withdrawal because they aren't getting the same amount of oxycodone from this formulation.

Hopefully they'll do something about it but I can't see it being soon.

Despite the fact that there has been an enormous amount of complaints (not just stomach and withdrawal issues either), nothing is going to happen for at least 1 1/2 years. Even after that though, there is almost no chance that any changes will be made to the new formulation. It's pretty much 100% decided that the new formulation is here to stay. In 10-15 years from now when Purdues patents are in jeopardy again, it will be a different story, but until then people should really just accept that the new formulation is here to stay. One thing is for sure, there is a 0% possibility of the old OCs coming back on the market.

Luckily I live in Finland where the old formula is still made.

Yea, you don't have the FDA and DEA forcing their bullshit upon you (at least not to a great extent anyways) like us silly Americans do. So... yea, you are lucky lol.

What company manufactures the old formula for you guys over in Finland? I know it's not Purdue as they have stopped producing the OCs.

Correct me if im wrong but I thought Purdue still made the old formulation for Canada & other countries?

I dont know the company producing it as it states that it is made under licence from Purdue Pharma in Finland and has Purdues logos all over.

Most likely it is made by Ratiopharm or Orion.

I read an article awhile back that said the government forced Purdue to stop producing the old OC formula. Is that wrong? I thought the FDA was the organization that made Purdue reformulate Oxycontin in the first place? Have I been misinformed, because I've read this all over the place... Additionally, a pharmacist from Walgreens told me that the old formulation OCs were not being produced anymore and that once all the pharmacies have run out of the OCs, it would be impossible to get them.

I've seen the news media put out lots of misinformation before so I guess everything I've ever heard about the OCs is possibly wrong, but I've read the same things about Oxycontin all over the damn place and I also saw stories on TV news a good while back as well. Anyone know what the actual deal is? lolz

I can confirm 1,000,000% that the original formulation of OxyContin is still being produced for sale in Canada. I live in Saskatchewan and have never even seen or heard of a new formulation of OxyContin. I regularly pick up Oxy's from multiple sources and they're still the CDN (Canadian OxyContin has a CDN imprint as opposed to OP, or OC as in the United States) 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 60 or 80 milligram formulations.

Before you argue that there is no such thing as a 5mg OxyContin, do your research, there is such thing; I have seen, crushed, and snorted a few of them. If I remember correctly they are light blue and the size of a 10, 20 or 40 milligram pill with the CDN imprint on one side and 5 on the other.

All pills I have referred to are produced by Purdue Pharma Canada.

Hope this helps. Cheers.

I just got a batch of 20 Purdue op 30, worst money i ever spent. First i tried half a pill didn't feel a thing, hour and half later took a whole pill, half an hour later i'm waiting for the buzz to kick in, all i got was an upset stomach and puke everything out. If their purpose is to get people off oxys well they are doing it with me. If you happen to get a rx for this take it back to your dr right away and tell him to change it to other oxys, if you got them from another source do yourself a favor and flush them down, never buy another Purdue meds that should hurt their pockets and stop this garbage.

I don't think that doing that would in itself cause nausea, but it sure can cause dental problems from sucking on pills.
