Possible way to obtain pure dextroamphetamine powder?

I have a psychiatrist who prescribes me dextroamphetamine, albeit low doses. If I tell him that I don't want pills because they contain artificial colors, will I get capsules containing pure powder?
 
do not tell your psych that, number one.

Do an Acetone wash using cold Acetone (coleman camp fuel works too) what remains in the coffee filter is what you want.

i won't explain further, look it up.
 
the thing is me making this request is in line with my disorder: OCD. I have a history of being very concerned about what I ingest.
 
You'll get what your pharmacist gives you for the script. You can go to a compounding pharmacy, but I'm not sure of the actual availability of pure dextroamphetamine sulfate powder, and it may be subject to special restrictions (as all amphetamine preparations in the United States are DEA Schedule II, I would check with your pharmacist).

Why exactly do you need pure dextroamphetamine powder? Do you have allergies to the coloring used in the tablets/capsules?

You say I can try taking the script to a compounding pharmacy. are you implying that if anyone wants a pure powder in capsules for any drug they can just go to a compounding pharmacy? I do know that someone on opiophile documented their acquisition of straight hydrocodone and it was given as pure powder in capsules...

If that's what they were prescribed then that's what the compounding pharmacy will give them.

Just because somebody on another drug forum got something from some pharmacy doesn't mean you will get something similar from a different pharmacy.

It is possible to shoot Dexedrine (regular and generic IR dextroamphetamine tablets) if you follow basic HR procedures, use a micron filter, etc.

I can't promise that a compounding pharmacy will give you pure dex-amp powder, or even that your psych will script it.

We cannot tell you what to ask your doctor in order to get that prescription. To be honest, most psychiatrists would refuse to write a script for that sort of thing anyway (they know that people inject Dexedrine).
 
So the question is, is it dependent on the prescription or does the patient have a right to request pure powder capsules? If soemone's dissolving and shooting IR oxycodone pills, can they make it easier on themselves and just go to a compounding pharmacy and get pure powder capsules? is it really that easy?
 
Since this thread has absolutely no harm reduction value, in fact, it goes against harm reduction. Also, we can't tell you how to lie to your doctor, we can't tell you how to obtain "pure dextroamphetamine" and if you tell him you can't take the tablets because of "artificial coloring", then he'll just give you the Dexedrine Spansules, they are totally free of artificial coloring. :)
