Opana WD have suboxone... Advice needed please.

I ran short on my Meds this month. I have an 8 mg suboxone pill. I have dropped my opana tolerance to about as low as it could be.

How long should I wait to try the suboxone? I was gonna cut it into quarters. Does it last 24 hours? I hav access to fent Patches, have 4 opana left but I want to hold them until my drs appt in case of drug test.

How do I start the sub? I have no experience here. I don't want to go into WD to far or cause a precipitated WD either. Due to opanas long half life I am nervous. Any help would be greatly appretiated. Also which would be the beat order to do the meds. Im doing a quarter of an opana 30 a day at the moment. It's not entirely comfortable... I'd like to start tommorow morning. Any advice on the order I should do these Meds in would be appretiated. Thanks so much.

Anywhere from 12-36 hours, it really depends on what the half life for oxymorphone is with your specific individual body chemistry. Once you start to feel sick (the physical withdrawals) from the Opanas, you can dose your Suboxone.

When I started Suboxone, I was in withdrawal from hydrocodone, and I just cut one of the 8mg pills into some lines and snorted small amounts at a time. You don't need a lot to start to feel better, and it will work quickly. As far as the best order to do the meds, you have to completely stop taking the Opana, wait for WDs, and then dose the Suboxone up until you feel better.

Buprenorphine's half life is 20-70 hours, with a mean of 37, at least according to wikipedia. I've noticed the "anti-sick" effects do last 36-48 hours, so you can certainly dose once per day.

I seriously recommend checking out the Suboxone/Buprenorphine Megathread over in Other Drugs, it is very long but its is extremely in-depth and will elaborate on all the answers I just gave you. The first few pages of that megathread have all the basics and should sort things out for you pretty well.

Thank you so much for your help. I actually get sick after six-eight hours, I could go 12. I looked on the megathread, I didn't find alot about opana.

I'm from Virginia myself. What part are you from?
 
I just went through this -- took me about 4 weeks to completely go through it I think -- the first week was the worst, -- then 2 weeks of depression.

Then, about 4 days ago -- POP! Feeling like my old self again.

she needs them IN her urine in case her Pain management doctor DOES piss test her to make sure she's taking her meds and not diverting them. The Only thing I see amiss with this plan is if you get a good suboxone shield going. 1. when u do take the Opana it will not have effect until about 48-72 hours later, and 2. if you doctor does piss ya, will the Suboxone show up in the test as well, further complicating issues?

All from personal experience, not just from shit you read and copy and paste:

When beginning Suboxone you are told to wait 48 hours (72 hours if you were taking Methadone) after your last full agonist before you take your dose so that you don't go into precipitated withdrawals. However you don't need to wait that long. When I relapse on Oxycodone I usually wait 24 hours after my last dose before going back on the Suboxone and I'm always fine. In fact, I heard you could take it just 12 hours after your last dose. But I'm always safe and wait 24 hours because precipitated withdrawals are worse than regular withdrawals and it lasts a long time.

Suboxone will last at least 24 hours in your system. However after 12-16 hours you may begin to feel some very mild withdrawals coming back. I'm talking just runny noes and watery eyes, nothing more.

Take the Fentanyl 16-24 hours after your last dose of Suboxone. That should last awhile and then you'll have your Opana closer to your doctors appointment.

But wait at the least 12 hours after taking your full agonist before taking the Suboxone. At least 12 hours. Unless you really want to push it.

looks like they got it all... i would mos def wait til the withdrawal effect came on... and try to get as much outta the sub as possible i mean u might can even do like 1mg and go a day without then do another 1 mg being that they have a long half life
 
I am starting the sub tommorow. Last dose was at 3 pm so I'm gonna dose the sub tommorow morning. Wish me luck. Thanks all.

Can I snort the sub? Does it make it last a shorter period of time?
