The money and valuables found in this one house alone, would be enough to pay for health insurance for every man woman and child in the USA for 12 years!
There are believed to be approximately 27 more of these houses in Mexico alone not to mention the ones in other countries who are enriching themselves in the drug trade. These people have so much money, they make the Arab oil sheiks look like welfare recipients.
Their money can buy the best politicians, the best cops, the best judges, whatever they need they just throw down stacks of cash and it is theirs!
This is why the drug problem is so difficult to fight.

This pile of cash before it was counted was estimated to be approximately 18 Billion Dollars!
After it was counted it turned out to be a little more than 22 Billion Dollars!

No...it was $205 million, and it was seized from Zhenli Ye Gon's home in Mexico City. He is the alleged ephedrine/pseudoephedrine supplier for one of the cartels and was apprehended over dinner at a Chinese restaurant near my home. I spent a bit of time browsing the site you took that from and it is completely full of errors and inaccuracies. I mean, there are lots of cool pics but it is not accurate in the least. Those weapons weren't seized from his home, and that home in the pics isn't his either.

:D

No. I understand you, however you are incorrect. I followed this news story very closely. Click the link I posted above. The first picture with the one huge pile of money is the same money that is pictured in the subsequent pictures, it is just put into one pile. The pictures of it in the cabinets and suitcases were how it was found. It was then stacked into the large pile for the press photo. It was $205 million dollars total, not billions.

I know these things to be fact, I'm just trying to let you know the truth.

This is the man they seized it from, and the pic of the money is even there.

:D

Even your source article changed it, albeit incorrectly, to 22 million dollars. Also, they didn't burn the money...that is just what you are led to believe by the mix of photographs coming from different stories/articles. The site you took this stuff from is wayyyy off the mark.

do u have a link to something that shows this guys are the same ones , like with pics

just seems strange someone 3 years later would re write the same story but with changes

i read both pages and i cant see anything that links the 2 ie: names or anything

im not saying ur wrong but im not saying ur correct either as 2 stories are not supporting either to be the same except its mexico

there could easy be different stories

Ummm...well here's the wikipedia article about the guy
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhenli_Ye_Gon

Here's an article about the charges being dropped in the US
http://www.wired.com/beyond_the_bey...wist-in-the-incredible-saga-of-zhenli-ye-gon/

Here's an article about the animals pictured in your story

Bottom line, someone took a bunch of cool pictures from various busts and mashed them together into one story. It looks really cool, but it's simply not the truth. I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to mexican/asian organized crime and realize that most people wouldn't be able to pick it out.

Honestly, just take a look around the site that you pulled that from. Not only is it riddled with typos and errors, but there is definitely no fact checking going on there. It's just not a reputable source. The same article has been posted all over the internet for years now. The pics are great, I'm just giving you the truth

:)

who in their right mind would burn that money, rather than spend it on education and other priorites (though these popular and vital interests are sort of counter to drug war priorities, but that's potential for a whole new thread), or you would think they'd at least spend it on anti-drug propaganda and drug enforcement if they're the anti drug institution in mexico. wtf?

the amount of good that amount of money could do outweighs the argument that you should fight inflation, and the fact that the money was collected from society originally outweighs the argument that it was gathered through shady means. but burning it does make pocketing large amounts of it much easier.

What they didn't tell you is they probably burnt a huge pile of counterfit cash and kept the pile of real stuff for themselves.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

100% correct

If you guys believe they actually burned real money, I have a bridge I would like to sale you.

those pictures are not from the same incidents.
/didn't read the whole thread ;P
<edit: they don't burn the cash, in fact they've had 'narco bling' auctions w/ this shit lol <the black/gold versace pistol was up in one auction iirc>. The last pic of the big fire is a huuuge pot-burning from years back.>

your 20 hours a bit late lol we have already discussed that

But it doesnt change the fact that it does actually happen, maybe not in this case but in others and it is a complete waste when it can go to help poor people but after watching zeitgiest the other day i know exactly why they do it .. the world is one huge controlled debt to the world bank by money that doesnt even exist and they want countries to be poor so they can bribe and control their resources.. it fucking sickens me
