MDMA longevity as a solute in water?

Does anyone know what kind of "shelf-life" one might except if one were to dissolve MDMA into water? Would the MDMA degrade, become inactive or be otherwise chemically modified?

If so, over how long a period of time (roughly) would such degradation take?
 
A recent thread on the same topic was closed for explaining the reason, MasterSplinter. I'm sure if you think about it you might surmise why.

MDMA wouldnt degrade that much if kept in water or alcohol - I dont know the actual shelf life though.

I have to add - If you were stopped and your water examined (for some reason) you would still be charged with possession of a controlled substance.

I don't know about other countries, I assume it's similar, but in America that'd be pretty much impossible to do. You can't take a bottle of water on the plane in your carry on. You can't take food or liquid items, so you wouldn't be able to get the water bottle through customs. It's a dumb idea, you might as well just put the pills/powder/rocks in your pocket.

because if the mdma was synthesised by some shitty chemist in a bathtub more than likely he would have done a poor job, and dissolved ions from tabwater could ruin mdma, since they might bond to an mdma atom which hasnt undergone a full complete reaction.
