Much stronger than its little brother gabapentin. I wasn't able to get "high" from gabapentin.
Usually physicians will start the patient on a low dose of pregabalin and increase it gradually, depending on the patient's evaluation. Its therapeutic effect appears after 1 week of use and is similar in effectiveness to lorazepam, alprazolam and venlafaxine but pregabalin has demonstrated superiority by producing more consistent therapeutic effects for psychic and somatic anxiety symptoms. Long-term trials have shown continued effectiveness without the development of tolerance and additionally unlike benzodiazepines it does not disrupt sleep architecture and produces less severe cognitive and psychomotor impairment; it also has a low potential for abuse and dependence and may be preferred over the benzodiazepines for these reasons.
Pregabalin is available in 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 225, and 300 mg capsules, and recently a strawberry flavoured oral solution has been developed, containing 20 mg/mL with an added sweetening agent (sucrose) to mask the chemical's bitter taste.[7][8] The maximum daily recommended dose for Pregabalin is 600mg daily. Dosages must be monitored and increases should be based on patient's tolerance

do u have an estimate of equivelent doses to benzos?
so it also feel like uve been taking effexor too?
It doesn't feel like Effexor, not at all. Its impossible to make equivalent doses to benzodiazepines. Just because they both effects the GABA receptors doesn't make them the same. Just like you couldn't compare doses of benzodiazepines to barbiturates. All I can say is that when you first start 300-450mg will usually do the job. When you start you are started on really low doses like 100-150mg the first month. Then usually upped to 225mg. They need to find the right dose for you so they start low. You won't be able to get high on doses like that. 300mg is when it becomes recreational.
Does Pregabalin have any recreational value?
Lyrica didnt help me && I have fibromyalgia, lol I use gabapentin now the mgs are way diff but if i take 4 of them i have nice high.ok, zanaflex SUCKS. That's my official reaction. tried it 3 times, it is completely ineffective.
lyrica.. has some intoxiating effect at 300mg and then in increasing dosages by 150mg up to...750mg after which i haven't tried.
i personally don't enjoy the lyrica high. too much like being drunk. was absolute shite for neuropathic pain control.
