klonopin w/ Oxy question..

Hey y'all, gotta issue that's kinda bothering me & wonder if anyone can provide insight.

I take 2mg klonopin a night (prescribed) and am somewhat tolerant to it. I've recently come across some oxycodone 5mg's & would like to take some. I'd never take the combo @ the same time, but would it be safe to wait around 24 hours after taking the klonopin & then pop maybe 5-10mg of Oxy (skipping the kpin obviously). I ask this because I know kpins stick in your system for a while & oxys are very potent (and apparently benzos/opiates are a bad mix). My tolerance to opiates are very weak, but my tolerance to klonopin is somewhat high if that makes a difference in all this.

Do I have a legit concern here or is this pretty safe? Sorry for the long post & thanks for reading.

Yes, that is "perfectly" safe waiting 24 hours. You could give yourself 12 hours and be fine. That's generally the longest the effects of Klonopin will last.

Thanks, I was hoping that'd be the consensus so to speak. I just have major paranoia over drug interactions of any kind & I've known that this one is pretty much the riskiest, but I'm stubborn & I'm determined to dabble with some oxys anyway.
 
I would say as long as you aren't feeling the effects of the klonopin anymore you're safe to take that low of a dose of oxy.

I did both before 1mg Kpin and a little over 15mg Oxy.
I was fine, but it was VERY sedative and a little scary.
I an not recommending to do both at the same time, but with small doses you should be fine without waiting a full day.
 
Even without tolerance 2 mgs of k-pin and 10 of oxy isn't going to kill you. You might go to sleep and miss the high.

lol, nah I'm definitely not looking for a party or 'wasted' experience. More importantly I'm not looking for a dangerous experience, which is why I asked this question. When I use I always make sure it's just 1 substance @ a time. I'm a low key / laid back guy, but on the inside I'm actually anxious/paranoid which is why I'm on kpin on the first place. It even makes me anxious to simply possess kpin & Oxy @ the same time, that's how particular I am.

I do appreciate the replies though cause they've kinda eased my mind & I'm def gonna pop some oxys soon (on days I can manage to not take my kpin).
 
i love klonopin with oxy...especially with some tagamet and some lyrica....yummmm

Lyrica goes really nice with opiates. I take it with my Suboxone and it really relieves my pain and anxiety. I tried it with oxycodone and it also really helped with my pain.

yes definitely, its gives me sort of a marijuana pain killing feeling as if my body was weightless (maybe because i haven't taken lyrica by itself before hahahahah, i love my weed) rather than tingling with ecstasy from pure stoned intoxication, but when taken together you get both feelings and it is rather exceptional; they blend very nicely like strawberries and bananas lmfao... and the colors! the fucking colors! i haven't noticed so much beauty in the natural world before...i like softer colors on lyrica like light green and blue makes my pupils dilate!!

Oh yeah, the colors! They become so bright and expand. It really is beautiful. I like Lyrica by itself but its even more useful with opiates!
 
Well I didn't pussy out, and took 10mg of oxy (skipped the kpin tonight). Feels pretty good so far, but my anxiety still looms in the background.

What would happen if I wigged out and had to take like half a kpin? Would I be straight?

for me if i am opiates without benzos i worry so much about if i have taken to much, and other shit.. idk i might just be prone to anxiety..but if you dose kp every day you should be 100% fine...and only 10mg oxy ur straightt...u sound like ur trippin, take your normal dose of klonopin, play some music (i recommend tool) and lay on the couch or on the floor or on your bed and just let the high absorb you, take you in and comfort you...

.. And yeah K'd out that's the only thing I hate about opiates. The comedowns and day after. While I'm actually on the oxy or hydro I feel good, but after 4-5 hours or so I sweat, get jittery & my anxiety starts to shoot up real fast. It's almost that's what coming off speed should feel like, but I don't do speed.

Also opiates actually give me headaches too when they wear off. I just wish there was a way to lessen the comedown symptoms because the actual experience of opiates while on them is awesome.

wierd.. i never feel any sort of comedown from opiates?? speed comedown is alot worse for me imo...but i feel yah man i too trip over stupid shit, my head feels like a broken record player, replaying the same shit over and over...benzos are a quick fix and definitely help, and it will definitely increase the euphoria you feel from the opioids

do you have an atypical reaction? most opiate users nod out eventually, even if they are initially active.

kpins and opiates are a nice lights out combo for me, but if you really need the kpins for anxiolytic purposes, then i guess, bummer.

Yeah man, I really do get bad opiate comedowns. It's weird because (like y'all mentioned) most ppl get a good nod & sleep it off, but when the effects wear off for me it's the total opposite. I just get wound up, anxious & with a bad headache. I know some klonopin would wipe those symptoms out, but I just don't know if I wanna mess with that combo.
