LSD at a rave. Opinions??

Hello all,

I will be going to a rave next week (Rusko :D).
Also, I have been VERY interested in trying LSD for my first time.
Would it be a good or bad idea to trip on LSD for my first time at a rave?

Now, I know everyone is different and has different reactions, I would only take one hit, and I would be with 4 close friends.

I am very experienced at shrooming and rolling and I have been to dozens of raves, so I know what to expect. But I have never actually tripped at a rave, strictly rolled at all of them. Frankly, I've done enough ecstasy for a while lol.

So would one hit of acid (assuming it's decent quality) be a good or bad idea? Or should I shroom instead? I don't want to roll.

i did my first acid trip at tronicals of narnia... brutal mate- only did one drop tho, didn't get me visual tripping but fucked with my cognition. i'd of taken more personally.

I know everyone here's on the side of harm reduction, but acids fucking amazing with live music- if your into the deep end doooo it, have mates that are aware and you can just grab onto and they'll take you somewhere for a few mins.

I took three tabs at Coachella, started my afternoon with two and took another because I figured I could handle it, after all I had handled more before, but the third one ended up being too much.
One tab on the other hand would fantastic for an event, providing of course that you are experienced with the drug and know how you react to it.
 
i wouldnt take it at a rave. too much stimulation, especially during the onset. and personally i never take only 1 hit of acid. they say the average tab is 50 mics. well 100 mics is considerd a mild trip, meaning weak in my book. i take at least 4 hits even if the cids above avg, because i love tripping and i love dosing high. you gotta repsect the drug and make sure you understand it first before you get on a level like mine though. you are very sensitive to external stimulus, wheather that be good or bad. taking 2 hits and then the 3rd bein too intense? that confuses me honestly. whenever ive taken tabs seperatly they never significantly increased the trip, the only possibly extended the duration. i thought that was a commonly accepted truth.

my first LSD experience was with a half tab at a giant music fest. Could've easily handled a whole tab, just felt welcoming with half a tab.

LSD is way easier to handle than Shrooms. I would never want to have a mushie trip at a concert, it can change your environment for better or worse (Walls can breathe, or melt, would you want your venue to melt onto you?)

Acid low dose can be very fun (and even funny), it made me feel more social (i'm already social as fuckkkk naturally) and made me wanna dance, enjoy music, and laugh a lot.

It makes you like a little kid imo, you say whatever the fuck you're thinking, and do whatever feels best at the time. Thats why its good to have a sitter, you won't act crazy on a low dose by any means, but its reassuring to have someone to ask "hey dude, im i acting like im tripping balls or what?" "No, you seem sober on the outside" "oh, nice, cool!"

what was it like when it was "too much?"

ive had "too much" mdma before too, it can suck if you're the one who is still rolling HARD and everyone else passes out at the end of the night

I ended up being super anxious, and I lightweight freaked out. Not to the point where I was losing my mind, but I was definitely super uncomfortable. I couldn't dance, talk or really even process the things that people were saying to me.

I know the venue I'm going to like the back of my hand, so if there was a moment where I felt overwhelmed I would simply go to the balcony where there are seats and just stare at the lights (my friends told me they would come with me too if I had to resort to that).

I love live music and I love dancing like a total idiot when I'm fucked up (even on shrooms).

I've just heard that acid trips are 'cleaner' and 'more crisp' than shroom trips and you are capable of thinking, problem solving, walking, and talking. Unlike shrooms where (atleast for me) I trip balls don't make sense with my words and walk as if I was drunk as hell haha.

Yep, I feel as sharp as a razor on acid.

LSD is also much more happy, euphoric, and energizing than shrooms.

Not to say shrooms can't be very euphoric but sometimes they can get dark... LSD pumps you full of happiness, optimism, and a sense of well being rather than having to steer yourself in that direction. This is assuming a recreational dosage.
 
I'd say go for it if you're only taking one hit. Personally, when going to raves, (I've actually seen rusko live 4 times now), I like candy flipping (combining with MDMA). It really brings out the best of both substances, like if you're worried about how you'll react to the lucy, take an exo or 2, and you'll be in such a good mood, it's impossible for the trip to go south.
Also as stated, enjoy the cid man. It truly is a gift to humanity.
 
It sounds like you're ready for your experience, I bet it will be sweet. I've never tripped at an event but I've tripped at a club. The lucy was so energizing.
 
^^ extraordinarily ignorant sounding opinion. Some of the worst advice I have ever heard, hands down.

Now, it makes sense to not want to put too much structure into your trips themselves... but purposely avoiding planning because its... "weird" or "being such a pussy"? The level of mindlessness in that post honestly has me close to vomiting.
I really wish that people who operate like that would either cease to partake in these sacred tools... or even cease to exist. Not that I want them to die - I only wish that they either never lived or never gained access to any of these sacraments. Think about it - that same sort of lack of awareness is EXACTLY what is wrong with the world and is the root of all conceivable problems in our society (non-drug related).

Listen to nateup....don't over prepare but DEFINITLY do some preperation. This helps avoid things going wrong tht could have went just fine if you woulda just thought about wht you were going to be doing for a second.
