Has anyone else experienced feeling agitated and irritable after taking benzos? Night before last, my fiance and I picked up 100mg of diazepam and had 50mg each, considering this is a very low dose for us which usually results in no perceptible intoxication, we were pleasantly suprised and delighted that we got quite a nice result. Although, it was short lived and after about 2 hours we just felt generally agitated and irritated as well as being disappointed. Diazepam with its long half life and all should last longer than two hours of enjoyable euphoric effects, surely? Though we could feel as though the Valium was still effecting us because we felt relaxed, though not overly so and slept easily, which is unusual, waking up feeling refreshed, if a bit groggy. Yesterday we acquired 20mg of clonazepam and shared 10mg each which we potentiated with grapefruit juice. Approximately 750mL shared roughly equally between us both while and after consuming the Rivotril. Though we felt the dose, both of us were left unsatisfied yet pretty melow. So I went and purchased another 40mg of clonazepam. We both took 20mg, around 4 hours after the initial 10mg, again shared the same amount of GFJ, but this time we felt absolutely nothing from the second dose which doubled the first. Any idea why? Also, we didn't sleep at all last night. Both of us felt wide awake and like we could do the dishes, if that makes sense. For example, I'm in town collecting my daily dose of Subutex 32mg at 7:30 in the morning. This is very usual to meet to be feeling fine and awake at this hour. Has anyone experienced this lack of sleep/energizing effect from clonazepam? I know most of you don't take such high doses of benzodiazepines so you may find this shocking. Tolerance is a bad thing, as are this class of drugs. Thanks for any input.
