Diazepam Powder (Liquid Measurement)

I got some tested nearly pure (>90) Diazepam Powder. What is the best solvent to make a liquid solution? I've tried already 70% Ethanol, but this is not working right (i also tried to warm up the ethanol solution carefully, but it doesn't dissolve well).

I've already had a pharmaceutical liquid Diazepam solution, i believe it was a mixture of propyl glucol and ethanol.

So i want to order pure Propylenglycol and dissolve 200mg of the Diazepam powder in 20ml Propylenglucol (1,2-Propandiol) for a 10mg/1ml solution. Should this work properly?

Also i've read that Propylenglycol is skin-irritating and can damage the liver and kidney. So is Propylenglucol generally not recommended for oral consumptaton?

If my ideas are bullshit, please brighten me up how to do a secure liquid diazepam solution.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah it's talked about fairly often on here that you can't dissolve most benzos in water very well.
From wikipedia.
The United States Pharmacopoeia lists diazepam as soluble 1 in 16 of ethyl alcohol, 1 in 2 of chloroform, 1 in 39 of ether, and practically insoluble in water.

Should work.
Diazepam is given as 61mg/ml in propylene glycol polyethylene glycol here,

I've never heard that and am sure it is used as a food additive. Do you have a source for where you read it is skin-irritating and liver/kidney toxin?

Your link show Polyethylene glycol (PEG) not Propylene glycol (PG) that i want to use.

I've read this on a german article about toxic ingredients in food etc. I think now it was some bullshit from bioproduct manufacturers. 8)

So is it possible to dissolve 200mg diazepam in 20ml Propylene glycol (PG) ?

My mistake. By the way all I'm doing is plugging in diazepam solubility into google. Anyways...

http://www.pharminfotech.co.nz/manual/Formulation/mixtures/diazepam.html
Diazepam has a solubility in water of 0.05mg per mL; 41mg per mL in 95% ethanol and 17mg per mL in propylene glycol.
So ethanol appears to be the better solvent but due to cellular damage caused by injecting such strong ethanol (and an inability to be diluted with water due to insolubility?) it is usually diluted with propylene glycol.

Here's an example preparation.
http://www.elephantcare.org/Drugs/diazepam.htm
Diazepam is tasteless initially, but a bitter after-taste develops. One gram is soluble in 333 ml of water, 25 ml of alcohol, and it is sparingly soluble in propylene glycol. The pH of the commercially prepared injectable solution is adjusted with benzoic acid/sodium benzoate to 6.2-6.9. It consists of a 5 mg/ml solution with 40% propylene glycol, 10% ethanol, 5% sodium benzoate/benzoic acid buffer, and 1.5% benzyl alcohol as a preservative.

Thanks for the info!

I don't want to shoot it. I want to take it sublingually. And i can't imagine to take 95%+ ethanol solution sublingually. It must taste horrible. ;)

and 17mg per mL in propylene glycol.

That sounds really good. So i can make a solution only with propylene glycol, right? As a example 200mg diazepam in 20ml propylene glycol.

According to those website yes.

I might add that from everything I've read on Bluelight, taking the powder sublingually can be accomplished by just putting the powder under your tongue and it will dissolve in your saliva.

Not trying to undermine a mod but I think they wanted it dissolved for measurement purposes, just guessing.

^^I think you're right, which leads me to wonder why the OP wants to dissolve it at all. Diazepam is of a low enough potency that doses can be weighed fairly easily.

Edit-That was @ the post 2 above

Yeah I wasnt thinking 10mg doses I was thinking other benzos like 1-5mg. But I know I dont have a scale I would trust at 10mg but Im not the lucky one with a bag of diazepam so...
