Benzos Confused about Opiate withdrawal

This thread should give you all the info you need Georgieboy!

http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=540581

Kratom is pretty bitter, so it's a double-edged sword, the more water you use the less bitter it will be, but the more you'll have to drink, the less water you use the more bitter it'll be, but there's less of it.

I say just go with what tastes right, it's no different than brewing a normal cup of tea.

KRATOM will lead you to salvation

1. buy "premium" kratom from online vender
2. boil distilled water
3. put 8 grams of kratom in water for 15 mins
4. use a coffee filter and save the liquid and leaves
5. boil another pot of water and put the "already" used kratom in it for another 15 mins
6. use another coffee filter
7...drink the first boil in the morning and the second boils amount in the afternoon
8. YOU WILL BE FINE AND FEEL GOOD TOO!!

9....NOTICE the withdrawal symptoms go away within 30 mins of first cup
2 questions, how much water and my stuff is in caps any difference in boil time?

Thanks

Thanks, found what I needed. Tried to start to taper again today and failed. This is going to be much harder then I thought. I really got sick this morning and just said hell with this and took the perscribed dose. I have to have a real plan instead of this game I'm playing. For the next few days I'm just going to take as perscribed, we have company in town which means the usual social stuff when friends have come to visit, thanks Mora

I would always advise against going cold turkey through opiate withdrawal. Tapering is ideal if you can pull it off. The longer and slower the taper, the better chance of success. Be realistic, taper slowly, dropping off a little bit every week or so. If that fails you could try methadone or suboxone. I think methadone would be best for tapering since temptation to abuse it is much less compared to other opiates. I would save any benzos for the days after dropping to no opiates.

Good luck whatever you try.

Thanks

Thanks, seen my doctor today, ideally I'll be having surgery within the next six months and we talked about tapering, since my doseage now is more then I'll get after surgery, he said when the time comes he'd like to do a month taper but not completely off of everything. Personally I'd like to be down to almost nothing before the time comes, it's just hard, I just feel like shit on all the meds.

Methadone was my savior... didn't get he high one bit just made the withdrawals go away and wasn't hard to taper... this was from a pretty serious iv dilaudid habit +benzos,coke,soma... took me about a month and a half but that was 3 years ago now... still clean...the first few months are up and down and you have cravings but but its manageable ...now I can't imagine ever letting a drug be in control again... I still sdmoke some pot someimes... still have a couple beers may take an ecstasy pill or even a dilaudid once or twice a year... but there's no more desire to do more than just a taste every now and then... that's just me tho... everything works differently for everyon except the brain... if the brain wants something bad enough it will get it... show your brain all the other great things too.
Methadone could be an opition, when I talked to my doctor about buprenorphine and naloxone or some of the other stuff I'ver read about here, he just doesn't know much about it. He's just my GP and not a PM doctor. Glad for your success for real, trying to taper with the meds in my possession is very hard, I had a 9 day reduction going reducing 15- .5mg oxycodone a day a week ago and blew it after having a bad back day. I should have just went and laid in bed and rode out the temp pain instead of trying to keep up with my normal routine and taking the oxycodone and starting the ball rolling again. Thanks for the advice and success story.

Back at the reduced dosage, day five, doing fine, took 2 xanax the first few days but other then that OK, I just hope I don't start playing the mental games again, just thought I'd drop in if anyone is following this thread, been off the board for a while, life is busy this time of year for us.

do NOT use suboxone or subutex. It is a set up for failure since it contains opiates! I was on that for a few months. They told me if I tapered off of it I wouldn't get sick. WRONG. I was as sick as any other time I came off opiates which caused my relapsed. So right now I am doing the same thing you are doing. The benzos will help out a LOT with the withdraws. Also, I never had money in the past for a medical detox, though there are programs out there that are government assisted which pays for everything. You've just got to look and find them, but they are out there! I go to AA too but I haven't been going because I've been ashamed for relapsing after the Suboxone episode but I will promptly be returning whenever I'm clean again. best of luck to you!!!

First off no doctor ever tries to claim that it isnt an opiod so you were clearly uneducated before you decided to get on suboxone. Second you must not listen very much at AA or NA since you are blaming suboxone for YOUR relapse. only you can cause yourself to relapse it was YOUR choice suboxone had nothing to do with it

Many people have successfully tapered off suboxone without much sickness so i am sorry if your doctor didnt give you the proper taper and you jumped off at to high of a dose or did it to quickly but that is just ridiculous blaming suboxone for your relapse it was your choice to ingest whatever your DOC is no one elses so i highly doubt you will stay clean for very long if you are still blaming your problem on others and a maitenance drug, and not admitting to yourself that it was you who used the drug again no one else
