Misc Ringing in the ears + Complete loss of vision? Wtf?

On friday night halfway through the smoking of a blunt, I got overwhelmed by extreme ringing in the ears and everything started to kind of "cave in" and get really dark and I couldn't see anyone or anything.
I felt like I was going to pass out/black out/collapse or whatever.
I had ridiculously clear double-vision as well.

I don't even think I could formulate words, I don't remember exactly what I did but I stumbled over somewhere and went to go lay down.

The fuck was that? After about 15 minutes of laying down I started to feel a bit better.
I was still having really bad double vision however and couldn't watch the television because it was making me feel nauseous.

I had probably had about 6-8 beers. Four 5 or 7.5 mg Oxycodones. (I don't remember how many mg but it was around there each)

Some bits of a roxy and I had smoked a ton of crack earlier on in the day. + just some regular powdered coke as well.

Any ideas?? was it the idiotic combination of substances or maybe just the weed that threw it off because sometimes if I'm drinking and then I smoke weed it makes me feel kind of shitty but not like that.

That's probably got something to do with it. I know whenever I do opiates and smoke weed afterwards I get -VERY- dizzy, almost to the point of falling over. I just assume it had something to do with my equilibrium being messed up from the combo, maybe the same is true for you. However the blackout feeling you're expressing sounds more like a drop in blood pressure. Sorry I couldn't be more help, what I did to stop the feeling was not smoke weed anymore, that fixed it for me and I never liked it anyway.

It could be, although I smoke weed after doing opiates all the time.
Drugs never make me feel sick although opiates do SOMETIMES if I had done too much.

I blame the opiates...

^ Yea I have no idea man, I just wanted to throw out my own personal experience hoping maybe it would help ya. If you do the weed all the time and it doesn't bother ya then im not sure what to tell you. Like I said the only other thing I can think of is a drop in blood pressure, which could of been caused by the roundabout cocktail of uppers and downers you ingested.

probaby one of two things: One, the pot that you were smoking had been sprayed with a strong insecticide which caused your described "blackout". Or, two, someone could have laced you "Blunt" with catalack.. Either way keep on doing what you are doing is sounds like you really have it together bro..

It definitely was NOT sprayed with anything. It was my friends weed.
I personally rolled the blunt.

Definately a sign of drop in a blood pressure. People often get that from doing opiates and weed together here as we have a lot of cardiovascular diseases in our genes in Finland. Thats why I dont do weed. I have a little bit of knowledge of healthcare as I am a medic.

With a little bit of googling...

Low blood pressure is commonly caused by drugs such as:
Alcohol
Anti-anxiety medications (Probably happens with xannies and shit too then)
Certain antidepressants
Diuretics
Heart medicines, including those used to treat high blood pressure and coronary heart disease
Medications used for surgery
Painkillers


Symptoms
Symptoms may include:
Blurry vision
Confusion
Dizziness
Fainting (syncope)
Light-headedness
Sleepiness
Weakness

Weed and most of the opioids cause drop in blood pressure by themselves (dont know the pharmacological cause) and when combining those two the result is often greater than 1+1.

But we were teached to monitor bp if possible when giving opioids. Monitoring bp is quite difficult in battle field as it requires silent situation to be accurete or a machine that we dont carry. Mostly we just had to judge it by visually by checking the level of consciousness of the wounded person.

It is quite hard to judge but if wounded screams his lungs out then it is safe to inject opioids

I used to get it after stimulant binges and / or too much cannabis..

Sorry OP but this thread is just speculating about the effects of a large combination of drugs and isn't going to produce anything fruitful.

A lack of blood to your brain is a good theory, but the causes of it with such a large variety of substances is impossible to determine and it could have just been some really good weed or a transient ischemic attack. Really all we can say is try to take less drugs if you want to prevent it from happening again.

I'm going to close this now. If you check out the CD (cannabis discussion) forum you'll see this is a relatively common occurrence just on weed never mind the rest of the drugs you were on.
