Making liquid THC(oil?) easy method

For home growers to turn all trimmings, leaves and even stems( if smashed up a bit before hand) into something wonderful!. A friend of mine showed me an 'invention' of his(so he claimed) and i was so impressed i felt the need to share it with other 'heads'
Equipment needed:
1, 200mm long by 50mm diameter steel pipe. Threaded on one end.
1 blank cap that screws on threaded end with 3mm hole drilled in center.
fine gauge screen to fit other end. Metal sieve will do, cut out larger, folded round then securely taped so you end up with a cylinder with a 3mm hole in one end(top) and a screen on the other end.(bottom)
1 bottle of gas for filling lighters
Lots of weed trimmings.

Method:
VERY IMPORTANT: NO SMOKING WHILE DOING THIS!!
1 Unscrew top of cylinder and stuff full of trimmings.
2 Screw top back on
3 Hold cylinder over a porcelain bowl and insert nozzle of lighter gas into 3mm hole and depress. Its best to empty entire can.
4 Bowl will now start to fill with brown liquid which will start to bubble and evaporate immediately. Takes about 3-5 minutes to evaporate gas completely.
5 You will now be left with a brown oil in the bowl. Pure THC!!
6 Try it! Warning! Its very strong!
7 ENJOY!
 
Oh well! Just thought it was a good idea. Obviously my friend got the method from somewhere. Didn't mean to upset anyone!
 
How much trimmings do you use? I'm wondering how much oil I would get from a single normal sized autoflower. No buds, just the plant material.
 
^^ i would get .5-.6 of goodness off and 8th of headies

but i run nugs, not trim, cuz i dont grow.

but i would recommend stainless steel, cuz its least reactive, well i take that back, if u can have a blower make u a glass one but if u cant do that then go with a stainless steal turkey baster from bed bath n beyond,

also use good 4x+ refined butane, if u use gas station butane (ronson) ur end product will smell n taste like rotten eggs
 
Yeah we run quarters of nugs and get about a gram sometimes closer to 2 if its good weed. make sure you get all that butane out. Keep it together and the least spread out as possible keeping it over low heat so it doesn't solidify and gently stir it until it turns to golden wax... Thats more pure and easier to fuck with. The darker shattery shit still has tons of butane in it. If you still see bubbles its not done evaporating. Use high quality butane like highonlife said.

Thank you all for your advice. I'm sure it will come in helpful. And yes is very important to use clean Butane.
I still think it's a revalation!! What my friend and i did was to realy grind some not so good hash into very fine powder and then mix it with the oil. Wow! That was some dynamite hash! it was similar to some of the black hashes from afghanistan, pakistan, india in appearance. But was a totaly new smoke. I think at the time it was some of the strongest hash in Amsterdam! And that's quite a statement. Other people agreed too. Trouble is it's quite expensive to make so i keep it for gifts for friends birthdays etc. Try it. I recomend it!:)
 
I've wanted to try hash oil for sooooo long. But I can never convince myself to risk fucking up the extraction after spending so much money on bud, as I have done with edibles in the past.

this method is pretty fool-proof all you would have to do is tailor your Tube/cylinder to how much bud you have. You could even use something as small as a 35mm film canister. And you will get enough for a good smoke(you don't need much) Although not sure about the plastic.

I just made some oil using 91% iso alcohol, but next time I want to try the butane method. It seems very promising :)
 
F**k butane. Its expensive and takes more time and afford then acetone extraction.

this is the easiest way to make oil i have come across, we used to do it a few years ago in india, just go buy some acetone, i used some quite low grade afghani at the time because we found that the buzz was better than if we used some high grade manali, so just grind up the hash to a fine powder, put into your container, add the acetone enough to cover but not to much, mix well, you will be left with some lovely dark hash oil let the acetone evaporate off and your ready, you can just stick a cig into the oil it will cover it, then just smoke, or you can make a spliff but the shit goes every where, just put the oil onto the rizla a make as normal just adding tobacco, and thats it your done and the smoke is fucking strong as fuck, give it a try its easy,
good luck, just be very carefull acetone will blow up in your face if your not carefull, if you use green you will have to filter the bits that are left, but with hash you will be left with just the oil ha

So your saying if i take some nugs and or leaf and mix it up with some acetone (i.e. nail polish remove) and then strain it and let evaporate i will be left with a smoke able oil?

Make sure to read a good tek before making that, i know acetone can be used as a solvent but have not heard alot of feedback on acetone extractions or seen the final product.

You definitely don't wanna use nail polish removal. Ideally you want to use 99,9% pure pharm grade acetone. In real world you don't really have to be that anal about impurities so you can stick to technical acetone (just make sure there are no additives in it).

Here is quick tek for you:

Grind your weed or trimmings (you can even use fan leaves but it will increase amount of plant matter) and put it in glass bowl.
Now pour some acetone on top of it (too much will increase evaporation time and too little will make it harder to cover everything) and mix it for about 1-2 minutes. (you can repeat it if you fell like it)
Filter the acetone through coffee filter and let it evaporate.
You will get almost black oil that you can smoke right away but it will taste after acetone for first couple off puffs so you may wanna heat that even further in order to evaporate unwanted acetone.
