Looking to bring back the magic?

For the past 3 years I've been on and off mdma and e, using very erratically. Like some times it would be once every couple months, other times it's a 3 day binge after not having used in a few months. The last few times I've rolled weren't anything special, and it became clear to me the magic was disappearing. Now I haven't rolled in a month, and I'm looking for ways to bring the magic back. I'm going to try and keep my break going for a bit longer, hopefully a month or two, but I was wondering if there were any tricks that might help. At the moment I'm taking 300mgs of 5htp a day, taken along side capsules of green tea extract. Any help would be much appreciated. I want to be able to enjoy rolling again during the summer.
On a side note I've been doing mephedrone infrequently. I'm guessing it would be a good idea to cut down on this as well? I'm also a frequent user of psychedelics, but thats not something that will change, tripping is too much fun.

Piracetam has proven very effective for many in restoring the "magic"- it's used as a cognitive repair supplement that is typically taken for concentration, but also has the unique effect of potentiating stimulants (I first noticed this when I took some and had a small amount of coffee- something I'm not normally sensitive to). This was the initial Erowid report I found and shared with the forum: http://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=9126
I find piracetam is most effective if "attack dosed" the day you are going to be taking MDMA, rather than used constantly beforehand.

5-htp is recommended after MDMA use for serotonin production when it's low- prior to using MDMA, it can diminish the effects of MDMA if used just prior to MDMA use.

I find allowing yourself plenty of sleep (the best way to naturally stimulate serotonin production), avoiding stimulants, and getting exercise is quite helpful.

Aside from that, the best tool of all, and the one you can't skip is time. Spacing is essential- I try my best to follow Shulgin's recommended spacing of 90 days, but at the very least, wait 30 days if you are truly trying to make your experiences as meaningful as possible.

A long break is what you really need. Eat healthy and workout also. You're gonna get multiple replies to this saying a long break is needed.

Bsiren can you elaborate on the "attack" dosage you take? How many mgs do you take and about how many hours before your planned roll?

I just got my hands on some Piracetam and some Choline and plan to preload with these before the next time I drop. I'm interested to hear some feedback from people who use these to enhance a roll, how long before do you start taking (a week, a couple days, same day) and at what dosages have you found these supplements to be most effective?

i would stop taking 5 htp every day. only take it a few days leading up to the roll (not the day of rolling) and take it for a couple days after rolling, but that's all u really need. piracetam hasn't really restored the magic for me, but it has made the come downs easier. the best thing for you my man is to take a six + month break. thats really the only thing that will bring the magic back

Thanks for all the advice, everyone. I don't plan on using until the end of may, that will be around a 3 month break for me. I'd go a bit longer but it's me and my girl's 6 month anniversary and I know she would love to do m again. On to the topic of 5-htp, I've only been using it semi-constantly because I've been using mephedrone every now and again, and I figured it would help. I'll discontinue use though if it will negatively affect rolling in the future.

To DjR, could you give a brief explanation of that thread? As in, in laymans terms? I'm completely lost when it comes to the bulk of it. The anecdotes help some but I'd still like a better comprehension of it. Thanks, I'm grateful for all the help :)
