It's been a long time since I've been on here and nothing much has changed. Feels good to be back.

Good to have you join as a member. Less lurking and more posting :) What forums do you enjoy reading through the most?

Welcome to Bluelight!! :)

Haha, how did you know... Use to enjoy reading the focus forums, The North & South America social D discussion. Now i'm going grey so I might check out the community forums.

Welcome! What else do you want to tell us about yourself?

Your elusive location tag intrigues me.

Let me see if I can write something a little more interesting.

Well, I can tell you that its not getting any cheaper to live here with the new sales tax and rising home costs. Don't really know much about the marine and boat building industry other than it exists. Yep, we get lots of Aussie's here and I'm with you about the cold. Hey, doesn't the AFL season start soon?

=D That's a lot more easy to imagine now. hahaha!

It's a work in progress, ok...:)

afl's big down south, mostly melbourne, although the gold coast(my home town)got a team this year.its second week of the season.so early days yet...ive looked around the boat building company's in vancouver.i actually saw an add in paper here the other day for trades men wanted in vancouver which got me thinking..my fiances from burlington ontario and shes home sick...and altnough its 4 hrs away by plane, its better than 24. Fuck the cold tho,and no surf! Faaaaark.

So your living in Melbourne, Vancouver is similar with respect to the immigration policy; however our beaches are nothing in comparison. Come to think of it there is some boat building companies out in Richmond which is a Van suburb. They do some quality work out there. Yeah, the lifestyle is a little different out here, but hey there's some great snow boarding a 15 minute drive from downtown. Yes, the cold bites, but just bring some solid rain & winter gear and the city really lights up in later spring & summer.
Yeah, I'm suppose to get together w/ my Aussie buddy and he's gonna school me on the AFL rules etc and with the impending NFL lockout this sounds like something else to look forward to.
