I've been here off and on for a few years. I just decided it was time to try and share what I know once I saw the forum questions.

Well...Iowa...to put it simply..well there's not much here. I came here from the southwest for work. (IT)

I'm just starting to get back into the house dj scene again. I just picked up a Numark NS7 and have been playing around...so maybe I can score some gigs around - who knows.

I used to play guitar and whatnot...but DJ'ing just took back over.

Shorter answer: Theres not much to do here so I started DJ'ing again.
 
I'm looking for events and such to go to. Main reason I signed up. I miss the club music and the whole experience.
 
Well I'm glad to hear you have read the rules. :)

Everyone makes mistakes so it's OK, we just like to make sure everyone will read the rules before jumping off the diving board. %)

I have never been in Iowa however I know of other Bluelighters who live there.

Here's a live show you can listen to, I know you'll love it. It's a live collaboration between Aphex Twin, and two other artists I don't know very well called Richie Hawtin and Derrick May.

It's a truly beautiful set, I love it and I know everyone else who listens to it should too. :D

I was going to try to make an event in Chicago tomorrow night but I think I'm DJ'ing a gig locally.
 
Set didn't happen last night, but I'll be mixing for the hell of it tonight. I'll record it and link to it if people want it.

Did I see somewhere that 20 posts earns a different status? Or am I mistaken? How to I get to where I can send/reply to PM's?

When you get to 50 posts, you can private message other Bluelighters.

At Greenlighter status you can always PM me. :D
 
Mixing up a storm tonight!!! Toss me some ideas! I'll post a pic of my setup & me (sans face). Some haters, cause I use digi equipment, but I love it.
