Glad the 3 pages or so of people bitching is over with, shit started getting old.

Anyone here into making music? i've been messing around with cubase & reason these past couple days but still basically have no idea what i'm doing hah.
 
^ I haven't tried that software, but I do know most good music editing tools take a long time to get the hang of. Producing is completely different than writing is completely different than performing is completely different than well you get the idea. There's a lot to do with music, and you can spend your whole life in just one area of it. So find out what you like to do best (produce, write, perform, ect.) and stick to it. You'll get good eventually, or at least kind of good.

dude, starting? I've been putting CD through the ringer for a year now ;P

But thanks man, a few "you're doing a good job!" or "thank god CD doesn't look like shit now" makes the 6-10 hours moderating this forum each week worth it.
 
doc gave me a 100mcg fent patch... cut it in half, put half on my leg after rubbing alcohol + scratching off the top layer of my skin and threw the other half in the mouth... after a 15mg opana line.

point is, you don't feel much better than this. And if I die, my mod title will be given out to whoever posted within 30 posts of this one, by random draw out of a hat. It's in my will.

^Damned good. I found 8 volumes of psychopharmacology extracts, covering the period 1961-1970, and got the lot for just over an hour's pay.

They given you those matrix patches? I'm a bit iffy about them, seem difficult to titrate with and fent isn't exactly child's play. Come back to me, ridiculously abusable gel patches.

I Kind of lied haha, most of my main creation is done on fruityloops, then I import my shit into cubase and arrange it all together. Your right it's incredibly complex & deep, but maybe one day i'll know my shit. :)

I've done my fair share of writing music with real instruments (guitar/bass/some drums) but I never could get my heart and soul into it. This production business however i'm really enjoying.

Heres 2 little intros i've made, nothing great just getting to grips with all the VST's and whatnot..
