mixing coke and alcohol

So my friend wants to do coke on friday around like 3 or 4 ish. I'm going to a party around 8 or 9 and I plan on drinking. How long should I wait in between snorting and drinking? Is 5 hours long enough to process the cocaine so it doesnt mix with the alcohol when I drink at 8? I dont like heart attacks

big thing you want to avoid is that coke can make you feel like you can drink a lot more without being affected.

If you did coke at 3pm and got your drink on at 8 you'll be fine.

i never take coke without some sort of downer to go with it.. personally I prefer opiates but alcohol is good too.

Honestly I think you should be fine man 5 hours is a good amount of time between the two. I would just take it easy on the drinking just in case tho. Dont go out with the mindstate of blacking out like i used too haha.

theres alot of people out there who will only do coke when there drunk so you should be fine. youd probably be a little bit more happy when youre drinking but i hear it could have an effect on sex...but ive never been effected in a bad way. youll be fine.

Strangely enough I disagree... it's supposed to be more euphoric, but I don't like the combo (of alcohol with any stimulant, tbh).

P.S. if the effects of the alcohol are no longer noticeable, I doubt there would be enough cocaethylene involved to put you at significant added risk... but this is just a non-medical opinion or guess. Note that there's some risk associated with any cocaine use, whether or not in combination with alcohol.

Did you bother reading the OP, the guy is interested in reducing harm by not using it with alcohol. Which is wise, unless you consider it wiser to go for a higher risk in order to get more euphoria (somehow wouldn't surprise me, after that post in the "addicts and vacations" thread saying 'dude, just seeing the sights is boorrring on a vacation'... sigh).

coke on its own makes you feel like a dirty bastard .. especially after its been stepped on and cooked a few times before it gets to you...NO ONE GETS PURE COKE ANY MORE .(unless your filthy rich and have amazing connects) ..we are not in the 80's

so yeah the op is better off drinking more and taking less coke ..

Harm reduction also has to be logical. Most people that do coke drink at the same time. As long as neither is in the extreme you should be fine.. Although you never know if you are that rare person that already has a small prob with their heart in which case coke will be a problem all on it's own..

I find that if I start with coke, I really can't get any alcohol down and enjoy neither. The other way around though, having a bump when your drunk is great.

At the same time, its important to note that combining alcohol and cocaine causes the most drug-combination related deaths every year (acetaminophen and alcohol is second.)

Not only is cocaethylene more cardiotoxic than cocaine, its toxic effects also extend to the liver and various other organ systems as well. Its half-life is also considerably longer which only extends the toxic effects.

Just because people do this often, it doesn't mean we should ignore these facts about it. People can make their own decisions about their drug use, all that we can do is make sure they understand the risks involved.
