morphine extended release pills

I have 2 (E 652 15) 15 mg morphine extended release pills. Blue in color. My tolerance is light. 20 mg of hydrocodone gives me a nice mild buzz. Less does nothing. I take hydrocodone for recreation maybe twice a week.

I chewed one of the morphine pills the other day and it did nothing. If I plug both will it be worth it? Will it be too much? Can someone describe the correct method to plug these?

i believe with morphine plugging would be alot better than oral, but since they are extended release you probably will not be able to do that cause of gelling...

Unfortunately not :( Theoretically bypassing presystemic metabolization would greatly influence the morphine strength, but nasal absorption issues cancel out the effects by that means of administration and rectal has been shown to be likewise hampered.

I have a cousin that works in the ER & I ask him alot of questions about opiates & he said Morphine works the best & feels the best threw IV. He gives out Morphine shots for pain alot more than Daulidid. He says people come into the ER asking something for pain & when he offers Morphine, they sometimes ask if they can have Daulidid & he knows they are probably addicts wanting a fix but in the ER, they have to accomodate to a point.

I will ask him about the Morphine ER pills.

Just to let you know, the Morphine ER pills suck. Morphine is weak orally, very low BA. Morphine is best enjoyed via IV. I'd prefer oxycodone over MSContin. The extended release makes it worse. Instant release aren't so terrible but I'd still prefer oxycodone if I weren't planning on IV'ing. That's just me.
 
Well. I only have 3 15mg ms contin pills. From what I've read taking orally isn't going to OD me. I guess the only risk is not feeling any effects? Sound about right?
 
If you feel 20mg of hydro oral you should still feel 20mg of morphine oral. Sure it has a poor BA but it's a stronger drug. The ER is a bit more of a pain but you have 30mg so just enjoy whatever you get.
 
What would 45mg of ms contin feel like compared to 20mg of vicodin? Same More Much Less. Looking for a very general benchmark. I know hydrocodone and what to expect. Not ms contin.

Morphine is a stronger drug IV'd. Orally hydrocodone and morphine are of same potency. Remember MSContin is extended release, so if you feel 20mg of hydrocodone, instant release, doesn't mean you'll feel 20mg of MSContin. Instant release hits you right away (stronger) so you'll feel as if you need more extended release morphine since the dose is released slowly. You'd probably need to take 30mg (x2 15mg) to feel anything similar.

You asked how 45mg of Morphine would be compared to 20mg of Hydrocodone. Well, 45mg of MSContin should be, is, more powerful. You could take all 3 but you may possibly get sick if its too much. It is twice as powerful as the dose of Hydrocodone you usually take. The extended release may make it feel not as strong but 45mg will get you higher.

Its your choice. Take 2 and have 1 left over to do whatever with, I don't possibly know what it would be good for, maybe save it for if you ever suffer some mild withdrawals. Or you could take all 3, which could possibly be too much and make you sick but will get you higher...maybe too high.
 
^Just crush them. Unless mscontin has a new fandangled time release mechanism added in the twelve mths since I took them, they crush like the old OCs. Easily. ER no more.

I have fairly high tolerance so just want to get the most out of these thirties probably just crush them both and swallow. 60mg should give a little buzz you'd think.
