I have been looking for a site like this for a while now. First, let me say that i am relatively new to the world of recreational drugs. I have experience with Cannabis, a little alcohol, and a few experiences with salvia. I am hoping to learn more about the world of mind altering substances, especially psychedelics. I also want to know about any dangers / bad experiences with and substances. I have somewhat addictive tendencies.

Welcome to Bluelight Curiosity!!

A few experiences with Salvia D. you say......what a crazy plant!! I can't even begin to grasp my experiences with it as it is just too much to comprehend.

When I first tried salvia, I had relatively small doses, not enough to actually trip, just felt like I was really stoned. I do not yet know what a full "trip" is like.

^^^I hate to say but you might not want to know. It is beyond description but not in the same way as a hard LSD/2c-e trip. I felt like time was an illusion and that I was creating my "normal" world up to that point instead of living "in" the world. Sounds cooler than it was. When you come back it feels like you died and came back....it all happens in ten minutes.

Hey welcome to bluelight! I use to live in torrington, ct which is very close to Massachusetts so I always would go up there on the weekends for a small trip. Or to pick blueberries and apples. I live in pennsylvania now and highly considering moving to cape cod once I'm older. I always loved mass for some reason.

Top level salvia experiences include a physical sense of dissociation, and if you are attempting a high dosage I would encourage you to have a trusted friend to catch the glass piece you are going to smoke it out of.

I wouldn't attempt to smoke a high dose of salvia out of plastic by yourself, for fear of burning yourself on the metal piece.

Thank you all for your advice, I will keep it in mind. I think i might join a salvia discussion on another thread, to keep from straying off the original topic of the thread (intro's). Any suggestions for a good thread regarding preparing for / experiencing ones first hard salvia trip?

Hey curiosity I'm from Massachusetts too, and I'm also brand new to blue light, salvia is definatly a crazy herb. Definatly have to respect the plant, and one surefire way to have a bad trip is to be around to many people or having a camera watch you, I know this from experience and from asking everyone I know that's done it. It sounds weird but my favorite way to smoke salvia is in my bedroom or deep in the woods with a sleeping bag and tent, getting nude hitting it and closing my eyes, the experience is unreal, I've always had a good experience doing it that way. Lol try it sometime

Ill be sure to do that, it sounds like it could be great in terms of a very introspective trip. Ive always tried to have a babysitter around, but after a few serious experiences going alone might be the best way to attempt a high dose.

Work your way up slowly, allow for moderate experiences before you go from baseline to overwhelming intensity.

This way you'll be able to grasp some understanding of the intense experience so that you are able to appreciate it. Without a few previous salvia experiences, an intense salvia experience may just not be appreciable otherwise.

And have trusted friends to talk to about these experiences, possibly enjoying them with you. :)
