What are your favorite psychedelic Quatations & Sayings?

Not necesarilly a favourite but interesting from the perspective of someone who loved acid and experienced the rise and fall of lsd and the counterculture in the 1960s:

"That was the fatal flaw in Tim Leary's trip. He crashed around America selling "consciousness expansion" without ever giving a thought to the grim meat-hook realities that were lying in wait for all the people who took him seriously... All those pathetically eager acid freaks who thought they could buy Peace and Understanding for three bucks a hit. But their loss and failure is ours too. What Leary took down with him was the central illusion of a whole life-style that he helped create... a generation of permanent cripples, failed seekers, who never understood the essential old-mystic fallacy of the Acid Culture: the desperate assumption that somebody... or at least some force - is tending the light at the end of the tunnel.”

Hunter S Thompson, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me
Other times I can barely see
Lately it occurres to me
What a long, strange trip it's been

-Grateful Dead

I like this one. Travelling around the country with thousands of deadheads and doing copious amounts of acid... it mustv been a long strange trip indeed

The [Psychedelic] experience is so novel and powerful that the more you think you know about the mind, the astounded and frightened you'll be when your consciousness starts to flip you out of your mind.

A new profession of Psychedelic Guides will inevitably develop to supervise these experiences.

The training for this new profession will aim at producing the patience of a first-grade teacher, the humility and wisdom of a Hindu guru, the loving dedication of a minister-priest, the sensitivity of a poet and the imagination of a science fiction writer.

Guess who wrote it? :D

Dreaming of that face again.
It's bright and blue and shimmering.
Grinning wide
And comforting me with it's three warm and wild eyes.

On my back and tumbling
Down that hole and back again
Rising up
And wiping the webs and the dew from my withered eye.

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science." Albert Einstein

I once received a small free sample of a nice compound. It's been so long I forget what it was exactly. Inside the plain envelope, there was a tiny bag taped to a shred of notebook paper that simply said.
"Happy trails my friend"

It was a good night:)

"LSD burst over the dreary domain of the constipated bourgeoisie like the angelic herald of a new psychedelic millennium. We have never been the same since, nor will we ever be, for LSD demonstrated, even to skeptics, that the mansions of heaven and gardens of paradise lie within each and all of us." -- Terence McKenna
